Comments (18)Ruthie, you are such an inspiration to all who reed your posts. I admire your spirit. We continue to keep you in our prayers. Today my daughter starts her first radiation treatment for breast cancer. She is so lucky as they found the small tumor on her 1st mammogram. They were able to remove all the cancer with surgery, the radiation is to make sure that no cancer cells escaped. She is only 47, so they are being extra careful....See MoreNot a stepparent issue...but I thought you would all understand
Comments (5)you did the right thing, I hope they address the issue. I think you could also send the picture to CPS along with description of the event as well as the team's name, they could easily locate her by asking team's coach. They are obligated to investigate. Or you could at least make a phone call and describe what you saw and ask what to do. sylvia, educators, and coaches are in that category, are obligated to inform CPS even if they did not directly witness anything. If they do nto report, they could be in trouble. If coach is not sure what to do, he could ask his boss in what cases he must make a report. I personally would send a picture and information to CPS. If they do nothing, at least you tried. Let us know if you heard anything...See MoreI thought they would all be safe...part 4
Comments (23)I really only lurk on this forum and read just a few of the posts that have subject titles that interest me. But I read with interest the saga of rescuing Val and know from other posts what a godsend to unfortunate creatures Marilyn is. And how devastating all this must be to anyone that loves animals as much as she does and is forced to see them suffer through no fault of their own. It's bad enough for all the humans that must endure the chaos, devastation and rebuilding that lay ahead but I can't imagine how awful it must be to see your own animals drown!! While I am about as far removed from the situation in Texas and Louisiana as possible, I sympathize greatly with all you must deal with. I just can't imagine anything like this.....it is completely out of my frame of reference! And while it is not much, I was at the local grocery store yesterday (Safeway) and there was a sign at every register stating that they were collecting for Hurricane Harvey relief and you could donate at checkout. Every single person in line did so. And since Safeway is a national chain, I can only hope their other stores across the country are doing the same and that the volume of donations can in some small way alleviate this terrible catastrophe. We are all here to support as best we can.....emotionally and financially....See Moremarilyn_c
