Comments (8)First for your own planning sake, you need to get your undercounter lights in if you are going to have them and you should try to turn off the flash in your camera, which is flattening how your kitchen looks. Second, I am not a granite person either, but I think it's worth your while to look at the pics of Positano's lovely kitchen. She does have Costa Esmeralda, but the green seems to be a very greyish olive and the pattern is subtle. Even if you don't like the stone, it will give you sense of what a polished surface in a medium tone would look like with cabinets, floors, and lighting conditions not dissimilar to yours. Your cabinets are beautiful, and I think when you get the lighting as you want it, you will find that you have lots of options for counters and backsplash. Best of luck. Comments (5)Your cabinets are beautiful. Looks like you have a bit of walnut color in there, and I think the counter on your island looks great. Cud you do the same thing for the perimeter cabinets, or at least something with a very similar color. My preference would be something black, but, then you would have to change your island, which looks really good as is. I dont think light countertops will look great in your kitchen....See MoreCountertop - Hickory cabinets
Comments (10)My first thought is that I would not have a variegated backsplash. The second is that with those busy-looking cupboards I would not use anything else that has a pattern, and that the cabinets don't really go with the floor. The cabinets also have only warm colors and only the very lightest gray won't clash, but even that I'm not sure about. From what you describe, with the barn door and everything else going on in this area, there seems to be a disconnect. Perhaps I'm not seeing your color scheme correctly, but my personal choice would be different cabinets because these look very busy and choppy, especially when put together with everything else, but your vision may be very different from mine....See Morejbgoeller
