I've been checking in often too!! I imagine Sylvia has had couple of uncomfortable days as swelling would happen after that kind of surgery so it should be getting better soon as I think they said she gets to get out of hospital after 4-5 days. It's been 4 days so hoping we hear good news by tomorrow. It's probably been hard on family these 4 days. Sylvia is a real trooper so doubt anything will keep her down long but when you can hardly eat & drink it kind of cramps your style for awhile most of us really enjoy those things!!!Praying for a great tomorrow for her & that food will look, smell & taste good again soon!!Jan

Smart move to send disc on to Mayo so they can be up on your situation! It's getting where taking antibiotics is dangerous for your health, drs. on TV news are telling you to take yogurt with them so you help replace good stuff. Ballet??? Thought it was ballroom, have you moved on to the hard stuff already??LOL Don't polka, slow dance a waltz for a while!! Hugs & prayers,Jan

Heeheehee... I want to come so badlyyyyyy.... helping my mother move this spring but will be there if I have that mostly done. Last Fall, Cora and I talked about riding down together to the next one. I better start some cuttings! Carol in Jacksonville

Hi Abnorm - I am glad that you liked the article and I hope to keep learning together with all of you about our own climate gardening, like now we have been put to test with the cold.-( Hi Tom - Thank you and that is a great idea for the future and can be very extensive with all the crops that we can get most year round. Fruits and vegetables that grow here from beginning to the table. And don't worry I will give more space to the tomatoes and okra, less space to the yard long beans, lol. In the meantime, I am just happy sharing all the recipes that come out good using what we grow in our gardens. When it is cold like now my favorite are soups! I can go now and look at the garden and think of all the possible different soups that I can make, they are so easy and delicious to assemble, next come the salads. I hope that when you retire you will devote more time to cooking, it is fun! fritters and desserts once in a while are not going to kill us either.:) as long as is in moderation and freshly made. Today I finished putting the tender plants inside the house, I am ready for winter, I think... Silvia
