Need help in automated garden sprinkler
Comments (3)Penscacola grower is right down the road from me and is spot on. On of the best ways I have found to water is to run different dedicated systems focusing on redundancy. Ex running a misting system with micro irrigation sprinkelers on a timer with water sensor and then running an independed drip irrigation that way you can fine tune each plant. Ex tomatoes, melon, etc run better when the foliage isn't wet so design the systems around each other and the plants. Personally with orchids micro sprinklers are great because you can hit a lot of the roots system in a pot....See MoreNeed help with front garden/entrance lobby/living room
Comments (4)Not sure where this is located, but clearly there are regional influences that should be considered in designing the interior as well as the climactic impact on the exterior. I think on the outside, I'd just make a durable walkway to the porch and then add seating there. Given how fragile arid plants can be, I wouldn't do anything to encourage guests to spend time in the yard at all...unless you make a specific area, say a stoned circle with chairs. But to start out as a b&b, I'd probably put my money elsewhere. On the interior, esp for the public spaces, I'd probably do a neutral backdrop and let the accent colors come from the furnishings and accessories. If I wanted to warm up the space in the bedroom area, I'd think about doing maybe an accent wall in a saturated color to stand up to all the wood....See MoreNeed help with front garden area

Comments (18)Michael, come back. I'm sorry that someone made this comment to you. " Michael, you're only 12 years old? Without money or a loan from your parents you won't have a very successful garden." I'm certain that you can have a little garden with a $10 bag of potting mix, some sweat and a bit of water. Please ask your parents if you can give me your address and I'll send you a $10 gift card to a hardware/home depot close to you for a bag of potting mix along with some flower seeds for you to try out. Kudos to Autumn and infiniteohms for trying to help this aspiring gardener get a head start by offering up some seeds. Kiliandwarrior, I'm sure that your opening statement to this young man wasn't meant to be discouraging BUT it was. I hope the poor boy hasn't been scared off. Lisa/ishare PS: We have another young man who loves to grow flowers and he plays in all the swaps with the ladies. We love him. His screen name is heavenlyfarm....See More- 6 years ago
