I brought home slate blue, a lighter blue and lilac/lavender. I already have several ivory pillows so did not buy any new ones. I haven't decided on any of them for sure yet, though. Left the tags on them all. In person I have to say the lilac/lavender is matching the rug the best.

I like the idea of just 3 pillows because more than that is not practical.

Love the light pillows in the last image...would remove the very fluffy ivory they are best for a master bedroom look....but really like the other ones in the space..3-4 pillows is definitely enough..agree..looks so pretty!

This project is looking so great! One item that commonly gets touched on here in the Dilemma forum - I'd recommend removing a mirror from any eating area. No one wants to see themselves eat, and putting one into a dining space as beautiful as this one telegraphs that it's underused. Even if it's not a regular dining location, don't tip your hand!

If your BF hasn't hung it up on the wall yet, can we make the case for mirror relocation? In it's place I'd consider relocating the large clock over there so it's got a bit more breathing room at sides. Also, great call on squaring up those chairs and ditching the 'something angled in every corner' school of decorating!

OMG you are right so glad you tried all ivory pillows it is by far the best look! My favorite..my house is full of neutral pillows and I never tire of them!

yes keep that mirror...every restaurant I go in has mirrors everywhere..especially high end they just add elegance and sophistication.......they add so much to a room...I love them in dining rooms...not sure why some designers are against them????

So funny last night when looking at that sofa table and mirror I noticed that basket and thought that needs to be removed!

I think a taller slender lamp would be much better on that table too...the scale of the lamp is a bit to short.

A group of new textiles in pillows and rugs can give your place a totally different feel. Love your new lamp.

Best to paint your outlets to match walls...I remove all mine and paint them in the wall color and they just disappear...no need to try to cover them with stuff:(

A set of these would look very nice on your sofa table flanking the mirror...

Another great find at Tuesday Morning (where the white pillows came from). I still really love the lavender pillows, also. Maybe I will keep them when I need a change/some soft color. Great call on painting the outlet, Julie. Duh. I don't know why I can't think of this stuff on my own!! haha

Well done! I would have selected a slightly smaller width chandelier over that table, but because it is "open" it will probably be OK. We will see. I would prefer not to have a large clock (too big for that wall) in the dining room. Might make people think you are watching clock for people to leave! But overall, very nice look and great update. Good job!

Nothing else....that clock looks sweet and it gives a very down to earth feel in the room.....you have beautiful art on the other wall and it all is balanced in my opinion.

A Antique gold sconce would be out of place in this dining room..

I was looking for something else and ran across this photo. I thought I would share. Although it is a bedroom, it has a chandelier similar to yours, which is beautiful, and then in this room they have room for two scones.

I don't think that top one is too big at all....? Not much bigger than a dinner plate. It's lovely. The bedroom is pretty and the sconces serve as extra lighting, which I don't need w/the two lamps on my side table. My room is small and I think the chandelier stands out and the room does not need a duplicative sconce so close to it. Maybe on either side of the china hutch, but I'm fine with the art. And anyway, I still love my clock, especially the color of it. My sister in law's mother said one time that every room needs something round. Might have just been her personal opinion, but I like something round in a room, too. I rarely entertain so no one is going to think I'm "watching the clock" at dinner and no one is going to mind seeing themselves in the mirror while they eat, either. Why people don't like a mirror in a dining room baffles me. I think they are lovely. Thanks, Flo!
