Master Bedroom Pics!
Comments (40)Your posts have really hit home with me. I, too, have cancer (NHL) that has just shown up again - after finishing a grueling round of chemo in December. Just started another 6-month round yesterday and today with new drugs. Feeling pretty good right now as no side effects have kicked in yet. BUT GUESS WHAT! I'M PAINTING! NEARLY EVERYTHING! Had floors redone, too! (Must admit, the fumes are horrible right now, but it's been raining so hard here in L'ville that can't open windows to air it out). The kids were teasing me that i "might" be fixing this house up for Dad's "next wife" but that's okay, too. We're both having fun and gives us a project to do and a chance to finally clear out some of these unnecessary items we've collected over the years. Too much 'stuff' and 'clutter' can depress you, you know. A couple things: Where did you buy your gorgeous duvet and blue coverlet? Love them! And though I like your current color, I was leaning toward Wythe Blue until Pipdog posted those lovely greens. IMHO, cream may be too light with your furniture and a contrast might work better for you. I really wish you and your DH the very best and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. There's so much they can do now, so keep your spirits up and keep us posted. -Fripper-...See MoreUndecided Blue or Cream Bedroom (Pics Please?)
Comments (17)Love all the photos, but I'll second the warning about checking samples of cream in all the light that comes into your room. I painted my dining room a cream color many years ago and the window in that room brought in a pinkish light, reflected off of the brick wall next door. Ew. Dining room walls the color of raw turkey flesh = bad. Very bad. In the next house, I painted the living room cream and was careful to check my samples against the light at every time of day. No raw turkey flesh problems, and I loved the color--I think it's the only room in the house I didn't repaint during our six years there....See MoreMaster bedroom.. bedding and accent color - help? *pic*
Comments (5)Thanks so much! I actually came across a magazine ad that had grey walls with silver/grey and yellows and oak trim! I LOVED it and chose my wall color by it because I loved how it looked with the oak trim but now I can't find the same ad!! I've searched high and low for another inspiration picture and cant find anything with oak trim! Also the furnture we have now *is* dark so I will get a chance to see what that looks like.. if I like it I'll stick with dark when we get our new set. :)...See MoreHelp with master bedroom facing west?
