Depending on whom you wish to use as an authority anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks after applying the Corn Gluten Meal. Since Iowa State University and The University of Minnesota both agree on 5 to 6 weeks I would tend to go with their recommendations.

Takes about 7 days to notice the plant yellowing. If any of the plants are still green after a week, hit them again. BTW, you don't need to dig up sod to convert lawn. The easiest way is to spray with Round-up, wait two weeks and respray anything still green, then cover with mulch and plant. Another way is to cover the grass with 5-8 layers of newspaper, moisten the newspaper then cover with 4-6 inches of straw or mulch. Wait 6 weeks, and plant. You don't have the work of removing sod (and the problem of grass regrowing due to tiny bits of root left behind) and the soil is enriched by the decomposing sod.

I think it depends on how wet the plant was when you repotted it and also how wet the new potting mix was that you used in the repot. If it was damp when you repotted it wait a while, if not wait a day or two. I've got a repot I'm itching to water as well. It's outside, but the plant was damp when I repotted it and so was the new mix. Also we've had a couple days of high humidity, so I am holding off on the watering several days or more even though it's in the high 90s.

An hour or two or even a few days will not make any difference. It is the length of time the bulbs are prechilled that is the concern. If they have received adequate chill temps for a sufficient length of time, then some reasonable delay in planting them is not an issue. FWIW, they sell prechilled bulbs in garden centers for forcing (or for planting in warm winter climates) so obviously these are not being planted immediately :-))
