I plan to do a 36 inch smoothtop electric cooktop (not induction) over a wall oven. No huge criteria for the oven other than that it must fit under the cooktop, and I'd like to be able to fit a turkey in there with some other dishes as well. Don't care about induction. Any recommenations?

Use the search words like 'vintage' and 'refurbished' in your search for electric wall clocks. There are oodles of sites that refurbish wall clocks and add new cords, clean all the interior workings and make sure they run perfectly and look good. Some vintage clock sellers sell them 'as is' so "ya takes yer chances" with purchasing them. eBay is a good source of those. Use 'vintage' and 'retro' in your keywords. Some refurbishers convert them to battery operated but many maintain to their original. Some of these clock places will 'customize' for you. So if you do not want a cord you can get a direct plug in customized for your needs. I don't know why you would want that though. Just wind the cord up and keep it tucked behind the clock so it does not show. Also, if you live in an area like mind there are numerous power outages. Battery operated clocks won't suffer from them. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who gets a totally different perspective when looking at the two different clocks. I wonder if it is in our original "time-of-day" training. If I would ask one of the grandkids what time it is... They are most likely to say "two thirty-five" ---- I would say it's "a little after two thirty." In my mind each hour is divided into 4 pieces that are marked by the 3, 6, 9, and 12. With the digital you just don't have that. I think Jodi said it in a great way --- the hands give us a "point of reference." I like that!

My room is long but narrow. If I do the 7'10" x 10"6" and place it a few inches under the couch, then the front legs of my end tables have one front leg on and one front leg off the rug which makes the tables lopsided. Also, when walking through the room you would have one foot on the rug and one foot off the rug which would be awkward. So then the next size rug is 9'3 x 12'9" which would solve the leg table problem but with the sofa and TV area would cause one corner of the rug to cover part of the fireplace hearth. Plus, it would almost completely cover my hardwood floor that I just paid $10,000 for last year. So, it's a rug under the coffee table only or no rug at all. The wayfair rug guideline does list having a rug under the coffee table only as an option for narrow rooms but now I'm thinking no rug at all.
