Oh, yay, lunch with Sherry!!! I've met her many times, of course, and some time I'll meet you too! At one point I was keeping track and I think I met 29 CF members. I might still meet some more, I keep threatening to go to NYC and meet Dishesdone.

Oh, Annie, it was just scandalous! Yes, we sure did talk about you and Elery. We both felt bad that Copenhagen has passed. One day I will get up your way and meet you and my, er I mean your, grandchildren.

I think I have met about 10 CFers. I'd love to expand that list.

Help me out, Pam, who was in Philly? I'm remembering six of us plus EJ's husband and son, but somehow I feel like I'm missing someone. Aside from that gathering I've only met one other. Anyway glad you got to meet Sherry; I'd have joined your confession!

Hey, FOAS. Long time since our get together. I remember Alexa, Lpinkmountain, Jessy and family. Was Susie there? I have pictures somewhere. And yes, we talked about you. I still have my garlic squasher and use it regularly.

I'm friends with Sherry on facebook also, but I go for periods of time without visiting facebook. I still have the red teapot she gave me, and I always think of her when I use it. I still have things you sent me too, Pam, especially the wine caster/caddy. I use that all the time also.

I have vowed to go to Michigan, but I have to get it on my calendar. A couple of weeks ago I made a serious bucket list of places to visit, just to see where France ended up (somewhere in 2024, which I will have to change, since they will be having the Olympics that year), and I'm not sure where to put Michigan. I also have to put Philadelphia on the list. I was on my way to Philadelphia when I first went to San Francisco, and my friends in Philadelphia and DC wondered what had happened to me. I am still determined to visit Philadelphia, plus I want to visit Pittsburgh.

Glad you got to meet Sherry, and I can only imagine the fun you two had!

Lars, thanks for giving me credit for the wine caddy, but it wasn't me. Yes, come to Philadelphia and bring the CA crowd along. I talked to Compumom on the phone but missed meeting up. Maybe we can all meet in the middle.

We had another get together at the Reading Terminal Market and Lou was there at least part of the time. It was kind of awkward since there was some tension between him and Alexa. Can't remember what. Theresa_NC was there, too and came all the way from NC on the train! She's a sweetheart. Gosh, not too many of these folks post here now.

i also met Cloudy Christine at another get together. Meet ups are fun.

Lars, wherever you put Michigan, be sure it's in the summer time! I'm just waiting for you, but I don't think you'd like Michigan winter at all, no matter how much I love it. There are a lot of places I would like to go, I ought to make my own list. I've never seen Northern California, or Oregon/Washington state, and I'd like to go to the Outer Banks in North Carolina, and do a bit more exploring in New Mexico. I've been there, but just kind of "through", and didn't see much. Elery hasn't seen Yellowstone or Maine and I'd like to see Yosemite and Sequoia. And that's without ever leaving the country! I'm much more a National Parks kind of person than cities and tourist-y things, but I'd really like to spend about a week at the Smithsonian and go to Philadelphia to see the Liberty Bell and all the historical places there too. We both agree that we'd LOVE to go to Alaska. Lots of places...

Pam, I still miss Copenhagen, last week I saw a shiny black horse and thought, for just an instant, "I ought to get another horse". Then my good sense kicked in and I thought "yup, just went crazy for a minute there". (grin) I've sworn to myself that all future animals in my life will be the edible variety, NO. MORE. PETS.

Pam, it's great to hear about Sherry. I've been thinking about her. I'm not on Facebook so I don't have a connection with much-missed former forum members.

Hey CC, nice to hear from you. If we do a Philadelphia gathering, you will have to come.

Annie, I have taken the same vow regarding pets. I love them all, but not in my house. I thought you were a homebody. Guess that's changed. Get going on those travels. I am trying to squeeze in as many trips as possible before I can't do it any more.

So happy that the 3 of you had a chance to meet up and share stories (hmmm..).

Pam, I like to travel for about 3 days, then I want to go home, LOL. I hate to fly, and I don't want to just go somewhere and stay there for whatever period of time, I want to be doing things while I'm there. Sitting in a motel room watching seagulls or whatever bores me horribly and I hate the ocean. So, no, I haven't really changed at all.

I would like to see Alaska, a glacier, the sequoias and the Smithsonian/Liberty Bell/Independence Hall. I just don't want to fly, and I don't want to sit around and I don't want to be gone too long. Oh, and I don't really want to eat in restaurants very many times, I want to cook my own food. Actually, I'm supposed to be in the process of getting rid of cattle so Elery can do a little travelling, I told him that when Copenhagen was gone, I'd change the way we did business so that he could "get away" sometimes. He just spent 4 days visiting in Tennessee while I stayed here and took care of the farm, but he doesn't want to travel by himself.

I'd be perfectly happy if I never went anywhere, really, and just stayed here with the farm. I'm also perfectly happy to just stay home in the winter and go no where other than out to feed the animals and then back home. Elery would not and so there's that compromise thing. We've made the list of "destinations", and they have to be somewhere he can take his dog because he'd never leave Molly in a kennel.

He used to rent a condo by the ocean in South Carolina every single year. Same place, same condo, and not do anything else. I think if I've been there and seen it, I've been there and seen it, let's go somewhere else. So, while I've been on far fewer vacations, I've been more places, because I never wanted to go the same place twice, and I never wanted to stay there, I wanted to see it and go back home...

So yes, I'd love to visit you. Just not for very long, LOL.

Hi Chase! Long time no see. Glad you are well and still cooking.

Annie, no one can say that you don't know your mind. You would have a hard time driving to the East Coast, see all the Smithsonian museums in DC and then the Philadelphia historic district in three days. You certainly would not be sitting around -- you wouldn't be sitting at all or even sleeping! Too funny. Molly can stay with me while you see the sights in Philadelphia.

I enjoy seeing new places but I also like going back to familiar places. I can sit and do nothing better than almost anyone I know. You have always been a ball of energy.

Yea! I'm happy that my CF friends had the opportunity to get together. I do miss our get-togethers; it's amazing what good friends we have made on-line! One of our CF get-togethers...

he want a road trip in our 42 ford. I would rather stay home maybe we could get

DC he goes nuts just parking it if we take it grocery shopping.
