When you say the entire front entry way -- do you mean the entire vertical column to the roof -- or just the lower portion with the arch up to the horizontal break line? Either way -- I would go lighter (just the opposite of your idea - sorry). Just like the windows are trimmed in white drawing you to notice them -- I would lighten the entrance area. Alternatively, consider an Exterior Glaze tinted with a slightly Darker Grey (or any color for that matter). This can be applied evenly ... or applied evenly and then brushed over with a clean push-broom (no kidding). The Darker Grey (or accent color) will settle in your stucco pattern but the under Grey color will still show thru making your entrance a subtle difference from everything else but tied together. Long and involved idea (sorry) but I've done this stucco application many, many times with fabulous results (for large interior areas). The technique is exactly the same for Exteriors and you can research it for more details. Good luck.

If you want to keep the green trim, you could paint the white part a pale sage green. You already have a complementary color scheme, and so that limits you to red + green, or you could switch to a split complementary scheme, but that would probably get too busy. If you get rid of the green trim, then you have more options. The green part could be painted black or gray instead of white and still have more options.

Thanks Groveraxle! Do you think that the last renderingwould look good if I carried WRC trim all around the windows and re did trim on the window grids in WRC trim boards. Then paint the soffits and front rafter in dark brown? The surface of the posts is much different from any composite decking that I’ve seen. it seems more like gelcoat on a boat. Very hard and smooth. I’m sure it could be sanded primed and painted, but then I’m into a maintenance battle around all those cables that can’t be removed without cutting the cable. I think its like fissfiss said. I made a mistake/compromise. I will say that I’m very happy with the railing while on enjoying the deck, but it does look out of place from the front view.

So we spent a good amount of time outside over dinner looking at paint swatches and discussing many variables. We think we might have a solution but wanted some opinions. We want our home to "pop" in a good way when we're done. We have decided to not make the shutters and just hang the old plywood when a storm comes through. BASE COLOR - SW 6186 Dried Thyme or SW 6187 Rosemary (concerned that Rosemary might be a little too dark. All walls and gutters in this color. TRIM COLOR - SW 7746 Rushing River - columns, garage door, trim ACCENT COLOR 1 - SW 2824 Renwick Golden Oak (or something else that looks like the cedar wood color) - main fence color (which will be sealed). Maybe also paint on the side gables??? We're still unsettled what to do with those side gables. The one on the front of the house (above the garage) is small, but the sides ones are pretty large. ACCENT COLOR 2 - SW 6994 Greenblack - front door and top lattice of the fence to tie it all in. Plus we plan to replace the coach lighting and it will be painted greenblack along with the rod iron wall plant hangers, patio furniture, etc. will all be refreshed with greenblack. Question - should the gutters look best the same as the wall or trim color? We'd like to have it not stand out. Is 4 colors too busy? Funny how we started off saying we would definitely keep the trim white and we decided to not stick with the white and as soon as I logged back on I read the suggestion from raee_gw zone 5b-6a Ohio.
