Thanks for the recommendations. I didn't have them written down when I was in Lowes the other day and picked up Krudkutter, which didn't work at all, and in fact, made stains of its own on the tablecloth! I'm going to return it. I followed directions given by company personnel (funny how two different people gave two different instructions - I tried one after the other when the first did not work) to no avail. I think I'm giving up now...

For the past nine years I've been ordering my candle supplies from Bittercreek Candle Supply (candlesupply.com). They are located in two different states, Northern Wisconsin and Texas. Their prices are in the mid-range but I have found that if you buy cheap, you get cheap!!! I get the EZ Soy wax flakes. Bittercreek has 'everything' you would want to make candles, soaps, anything that can be scented. The last time I was at their site they didn't carry essential oils yet. They've been working on it tho. They are pretty picky on where they get their stuff so they must not have been able to find a good place to get it. If I need help with something, all I have to do is call and anybody that answers the phone will be able to answer your question. The owners are wonderful people. Just to let you know, I don't work for them and I don't get a kick back for reccommending anyone to them. I have tried so many other candle suppliers and have not been satisfied. A couple of years after I started making and selling candles, soy wax became available. I quickly switched and fell in love with the soy wax. I'm not cutting down parrafin by no means, I just prefer soy. Candle making is not really as simple as melting and pouring, unless you don't care about quality; but obviously you do. It make a quality candle you need to test ! your wax choice (many many choices out there)...do you want paraffin, soy, beeswax, blend of different? Then you need to decide on which wicks and fragrance oils you want to use. Many choices again on both. Micheal's is not what you want for quality; but it can give you basic idea of putting a wick in wax. There are several quality suppliers on the internet. I'd start with google search "candle supplies" and find some sources for purchasing ingredients. Many of the suppliers have forums that have information. Of try doing search on how to make a candle, etc. In candle making there are temperature guidelines, wick size guidelines, and fragrance amount guidelines (ex. if you add too much fragrance the candle may start on fire). My experience with Legno has been deeply disappointing and completely opposite from what I had hoped. For many years, I admired these floors. I first fell in love with them after visiting several top luxury custom home builders (Perrone Construction, Knauf-Koenig/and architects Stofft Cooney), where I was struck by the beautiful color, texture, and quality. After years of anticipation, we finally purchased the floors—and have had nothing but issues since installation. I’ve had hardwood floors my entire life and have lived in numerous luxury homes, never once experiencing problems with any flooring—until now. Just one month after installation, we noticed the floors looked dingy and worn, giving them a dirty, unclean appearance. We followed all installation and maintenance guidelines meticulously, including paying for the additional glues to protect the warranty and adhering strictly to the cleaning methods recommended from speaking directly with folks at Legno and as stated on the company’s website. When I contacted Legno in Naples, they sent a representative who dismissed the problem as a “cleaning issue.” I asked him to clean it—he refused. Instead, he told me to call the new retailer (the previous licensed retailer had since closed in our Sarasota area) and purchase their “preservation package.” To think, I would need to purchase a "preservation package" one month after installation? Since then, I’ve learned that many homeowners in our area are having similar issues, which Legno is blaming on cleaning and installation rather than taking responsibility. Instead, leaving homeowners with no resolution. I have reached out to Legno again today and am scheduled to speak with Frank, the owner. I hope he will resolve the issue—but based on my experience so far, I’m not optimistic. Bottom line: I would absolutely never recommend this product. I have been completely dissatisfied—not just with the product itself, but with the company’s lack of accountability and customer support. Things could have been different if Legno had owned the problem and made it right—but that has not happened. Buyer beware. Note: from the photos below, you can see the color during installation in one of the photos and now see the defective product issue we are experiencing.
