Hi guys, I am just starting to get into planting things. (Im 32.. never planted anything in my life) I cannot believe I didn't think of joining a forum in the first place! This is my first time growing anything and I kinda went a bit overboard on equipment, I'm using an Electric Sky light. The tent is typically around 60-80 degrees with 50% humidity (from bot to top roughly) I couldn't find 8/10/10 fertilizer so I just used 10/10/10 (on October 28'th) and have been watering once a day when I turn on the light for roughly 8 hours. I'm curious if that is a good schedule for them. Symptoms : Curling leaves LOTS OF BUGS (not sure why.. room is pretty clean and away from animals) Slight yellowing Dead looking spots (RARE) Cures I have tried : Vinegar + Dish soap Sticky Strips for Bugs (WORKS GREAT! However a hassle to handle) Peroxide + Water after churning top soil (I'm afraid of harming the plant?) Less Water Concerns : Virus Virus Virus, I keep reading about viruses and it is scurry! Under watering Over watering Harming plants with Peroxide Please let me know how these plants look to you and anything that I could be doing better with the information given would be great!

HVLP guns will not be cheap. They are worth their cost though. If you plan on using it as a business it will pay for itself. If a one time deal, look at simple air spray guns. DeVilbiss & Binks are quality brands that make both. Once you have your gun, practice, practice practice!!!! Do not try spraying your cabinets until you are confident with the fluid motion you need to produce a quality finish. Spray finish is not about applying multiple thick coats, it's about applying a few thin coats. It can go sideways quickly if you don't know what you are doing. I'm a retired Cabinetmaker/Furnituremaker (due to an injury). It took a few years to get to factory finish quality for me.

I wouldn't be too worried... It probably just got out of dormancy and should start growing quicker. I'm not sure if it still gets cold at night in your area... I believe anything below 50F and the fig won't grow much. This was taken about a week ago. As you can see, not much growth and I have been doing the fig shuffle for about a Month now (Not everyday... just on nights that go below 40-45F) Since last week, the growth and size has tripled... So just give yours some time... and with warmer weather it'll grow much quicker. My fig tree grows like a weed. On another note, if you want to give your tree a little fertilizer next time you water, go for it. I'd go half dose for now... and than in a month give it a full feeding... By than it'll be big and it'll be warm.

Just to come back and update this thread, I just really lucked out and decided to manage this rental hime myself. I advertised it on Zillow and had it rented quickly to a great family who took care of it very nicely. They lived there 18 months, I Re-listed it on Zillow and had 24 applications! I raised the rent, and now have a lovely small family that lives the neighborhood. This has been a great rental home investment.
