Please help needed for small small master bedroom
Comments (18)I was really glad to see the upholstered bed in the second bed option, cause as I was looking at the room pics & sketch, that what I had in mind IMMEDIATELY. I LOVE that room (LOVE small spaces) & here's my suggestions: 1. Upholstered bed in natural linen. 2. Closet wall & crown moulding in SW Westhighland White. Walls & ceiling in Canvas Tan (flat) 3. Bedding in a soft color...no pattern. Pattern will only make the room smaller. 4. An upholstered bench at the end of the bed in the same linen as the bed with perhaps contrast welt in the color of the bedding. Ebony legs. (Check out Bassett Furniture for both the bed & the bench as an alternative to where you're looking) 5. Ditch the globe pic. Whatever goes over the bed needs to be a simple stretched canvas in soft colors, or sepia tones. 6. I vote for simple bamboo or burlap roman shades inset on the windows. 7. Think more about texture than color & pattern in this room. 8. Consider these for over the nightstands to save all table space. (Nightstands should be light in feeling but of course functional). ~Jeana Here is a link that might be useful: Nightstand lights...See MoreBedroom layout & design - please help me!

Comments (18)if you kept everything all white, then I would look for a vintage dresser. like one of these walnut types. you can find these all over craigslist or thrift stores, yard sales, flea markets, etc. bargain for them. this room reminded me of your configuration. I love the black walls vintage type of armoire? more clothes storage and they use more vertical space. this isn't the best example, but it's a small room like you have. keeping things white w/lots of art. keep frames the same types. this is also a nook, but they put in a chest of drawers. another more feminine option. walls here are Pale Oak, BM. as for your nook. you would either put cleats on the wall (basically a small ledge all the way around so the wood or stone piece would set on it. with stone you would prob have to do two front legs as well for support. (either top a piece of plywood w/it, or use the piece w/brackets) not a big deal. just look up "how to do a desk nook", or something w/that wording. Pinterest will have more pics and links to how to's. if you find a desk that's 3' across, you could just inset it and use that. for instance, in my bathroom we installed a piece of marble for my makeup vanity. used a some heavy iron brackets rated at over 50lbs each. This marble piece weighs less than 100lbs, so it's fine. you could do 3 of the iron ones if you like. you can find these small remnants on craigslist or just go to a fabricators shop. they usually throw small pieces in the trash. (you would want whatever your width is, by about 12-14 inches deep) 20-40 bucks at the most for one of those remnants. marble, quartz, granite,,,you could use any of them. then just find a little chair, and put up 3 or 4 shelves from ikea, above it....See MoreHelp with small bedroom design with awkward windows!
Comments (4)The grey squares are mirror (which i would also use a similar trim to the windows at the top and bottom in order to make it appear as if it is another window. The orange color are curtain placement (i would recommend floor to ceiling to make the 8ft ceilings look taller). and blue in furniture. the benefit of one versus the other is in A - this is the most dramatic appearance. it is literally the first place you see. and it gives you space at the end to do anything you might want (add a chair to read, or a yoga mat if you are into that) without blocking a door (this is important if there is more than one person in the room. B is second best as the next spot your eye goes to but it doesnt leave as much room....See Morejansgirl
