Kudzu9, I think I will have my answer tomorrow morning when I check my ISP useage log but I am now fairly confident my issue is inhouse. Snidely, yes this kid needs the bar raised, and perhaps my daughter too. We are not often fortunate enough to enjoy fireside chats only carefully chosen words. Ravencajun, wow you got me all excited there for a minute or three ha ha. Never knew about router logs till now and a Worldstart tutorial lead me along. That was when I realised I had disassociated the WiFi early today, saved and by doing so wiped the old logs. Only today's activity is visible. But I will keep that neat tid bit for future reference for sure. Thank you. The Dlink router does not seem to offer the amount of information suggested by the Worldstart tutorial though. Cheaper router, less bells and whistles I suppose.

what toolbar? it never added a toolbar to my firefox. It only added a small circle next to the url address bar for an indicator for the current site I am visiting. I have had mine from the beginning so if they now add a toolbar I am not aware. ahh ok apparently there is now a toolbar with it for IE(I do not use IE), try these directions The IE add-on leaves the position of the toolbar up to the browser. If the position changes, it's either another toolbar or the browser itself moving it. You should be able to lock your toolbars by selecting "Lock the toolbars" from the View -> Toolbars menu. Also, removing the WOT toolbar disables the entire add-on, which is why it shows up when your restart your browser. (You can stop this by disabling the WOT Helper add-on from Tools -> Manage Add-ons -> Enable or Disable Add-ons.) It seems you can move it to different locations on your various bars at the top of Ie to make it more convenient, this page is a great guide on how to customize all of your IE8 top bars. I love the Computer Forum here and also Worldstart.com...great computer helpers...I learn so much from them. I like Facebook too. Enjoy your retirement...My DH and I are retired and love it...not enough hours in the day for us....we are always doing something...travel, gardening, computing, golf, tennis, biking, and our three grandchildren...LOL....I could on and on...I thank my blessings...keep busy...
