Visit to Don Morris (lilypatch) gardens, installment #2
Comments (8)I'm pretty sure #2 is the one he has posted on his website as a future. I really like that 1! I love it when the pattern is on the sepals too & in this case it looks like it is making a complete circle. Really cool! I can't stop thinking about the neon yellow one in the other thread....See MoreA visit to Karols Springwood Gardens pt2
Comments (14)Debra there are several seedlings I told Karol I wouldnt mind having.. shes was in the middle of evualting and wasnt ready to part with them , im to email her later with a few picks of what I would like, If they are not intros I can purchase them later this summer or fall. They were mostly things I thought I could use in my stuff. I couldnt have dug anything on the spot anyways as this was the start of the trip, still had 5 days in Minnesota after this.. went to another couple of gardens, but they were just regular ones, not daylily farms and they were not that pretty! Was there to visit relatives as well.. But I will ask her later, one of them is that purple wow in the clump. I can see using that to cross into tons and tons of stuff.. another was a wide edge one she said may or may not be there next year and another was a very wide UF type.. it was massive but a little flawed. Shes also a stickler, if its not worthy to be moved out and planted elsewhere shes going to scrap it.. wont matter how much I want it, its going into her compost. Comments (8)Glad you are all enjoying these. I know I just love to view everyone's pictures even when I can't keep up to post replies...keep em coming everyone! Debra, The cats were there and a portion of her sales went to support a local charity for a spay/neuter program for stray cats. But, darn it, my camera batteries ran out of juice before I got done with daylilies or I'd have taken some photos of the cats too. It was a tough choice to make...cats vs daylilies... Comments (13)HPF, Great pics. You have a picture of my favorite palm. The 4th picture with the two Phoenix Sylvestris palms in pots.I'm growing one in the ground, this will be it's 2nd summer there. That's a good question on the waggie,I've never seen one with that on it.My waggie has only been in the ground for its 2nd year from a 3gal. planting. It looks like the S.minors surived well. They look better on here than the T.fortuneis.I'm currious about that thing one the waggie myself.I hope someone on here knows. My money is on Jim knowing.
