Winter Squash Pollination Problem

blue_skink

Hope someone can advise me. It is already 4th week of July and I've managed to pollinate only one female flower.

I have 3 squash plants of the same variety, their foliage is healthy, and there are healthy looking female flowers showing up - but hardly any males, and whatever male flowers do appear, their anthers have no pollen on them, not one bit.

Have any of you ever heard of such a thing? My plants were placed in good soil and given some fertilizer. They are adequately watered from rain as well as my own efforts.
