They're here! Family and new German wash goodies!!
Comments (9)A long time ago I got a box of Persil Bio powder. It had a very strong scent. So strong in fact just sitting in the box on the shelf in the laundry room stunk up the entire house! It reeked on the other side of a 2500ft house. I couldn't believe it. My solution? I put it on a shelf in the garage for a month or two. With the garage door opening and closing all the time the detergent eventually "cooled off" as far as the scenting went. I then brought the box in the house and opened it up and began using it. The scent was fine and the clothes were unbelievably clean. You know, why can't American detergent mfgs realize that there is a market for low sudsing easy rinsing detergent out there? That's an entire market they are ignoring!...See MorePersil from Walmart - wasteful container
Comments (12)rococogurl.....Wow! I guess I am happy for you ;) I seriously hate it. Several loads smelled like "vomit" after they were dried. I thought I was crazy, and then I read several reviews on Amazon, where users said the Walmart persil smelled like throw up after drying. I was like...OMG, I am not "that" crazy! LOL I have used German Persil for close to 20 years, and the Walmart Persil was the first time that several cooking stains did not come out of my dish towels, and several "kid" stains in my son's clothing remained. Bummer!!...See MoreHas German Persil been "ruined" too?? :(
Comments (11)recordaras....I have tried the pods when they first came out, or were somewhat new when I had my Miele! They worked good, but the first generation of pods, sometimes did not totally dissolve (not my thing, it was widespread). Tide pods and especially the Arm & Hammer 4in1 Power Packs work amazing in my Electrolux. Also the latest generation of Tide pods are he turbo...so they suds even less and rinse even easier! I had some older Persil gel and powder leftover from a while ago...and they both worked GREAT in my Electrolux 70 and 60 Series washers!! It is only the Walmart Persil and what seems to be re-formulated German/Euro Persi that is leaving my laundry so awful. I do not think it has anything to do with Electrolux. Tide he liquid and Tide he powder work equally well in my last Miele W4842 washer, and now in my Electrolux...See MorePersil ProCaps...do they smell like Persil ProClean?
Comments (29)I don't know what I will do if Cheer is discontinued. I have many boxes of original (non-HE, Larsi-scent) Tide powder and probably have a box of the large Cheer. If it's gone I'll probably have to go to an unscented or maybe Miele Color powder. I was actually in the Miele store today because my vacuum just stopped working. They are now selling laundry appliances and detergent, whereas previously they only dealt with the vacuums and floor care. They have both Miele detergents and a variety of Persil. When I go back to pick up my vacuum, I'll probably get some liquid Persil (euro). I've never tried it....See Morelivebetter
