HAVE: Honeysuckle 'Alabama Crimson'
Comments (9)I now have another 3 trades of about 15 seeds each. Irish, I have not grown this from seed myself (one vine is enough for me in my small yard), but I would say the chances are good that the flower color of any seedlings would be very similar to "alabama crimson", since the flowers are similar to the wild version of the vine. The vine is also called "coral honeysuckle", if that helps with any research. My current seed obsession is the pink fig hollyhock "aunt brownie", so if you have any of those seeds, I would love to trade. Otherwise, take a look at my "wants" on my trade list for other seeds I am looking for. Thanks! Lois in PA...See MoreHow often do re-bloomers really re-bloom?
Comments (19)Rainbow, I start with 10-52-10 around the first to middle of June. If I remember to do it I fertilize about every two weeks until the first of November or until hard freeze. This may not work and will not be needed if you have rich soil. The soil in NE Mississippi on the hills is not rich at all. If there is not plenty of rainfall I also water as needed. I plant all my rebloomers close enough to the house that I can reach them with the water hose. I have three(Anxious, Immortality and Brother Carl) that have been blooming since June and the regular fall bloomers started late August. Except for about two weeks after the spring bloom I have had at least one iris in bloom since early March. If I get a few really late spring bloomers I think I can fill that gap. Comments (16)Debra, I agree. I think the 25 inches of rain I got really rejuvenated the lilies into rebloom-even some that never have! No Boys Allowed has my least favorite form but the colors work on it. Julia, I was glad to find the ID on that one! It has been so pretty this year (what the deer did not eat). Brad, those were some of my favorites too! But i have learned I have too many purples of all shapes and sizes! David, Heartbeat of Heaven is in partial shade all day. Doesn’t help with multiplying but the color is wonderful!! I think you will like Mountain Orchid (yes I had to go back and edit the name! Mountain Violet always comes to mind when I look at it!!) That picture was taken at 6:45 p.m....See MoreIt’s fall, it’s cool, and rebloom continues
Comments (9)Sherry, I think I remember your discussion about Indian Giver reblooming last year because I was thinking at the time that mine had never rebloomed! Julia, I am knocking on wood as I write but so far the Liquid Fence granules appear to be working! Fingers crossed for next year! Mantis, I can honestly say that is one of two grass and weed free beds. I would be embarrassed to show the weeds in my other beds! After all our rain this summer, it has been a fight I lost long ago! Here is Memphis today after a warm day-showing the ruffles although faded color....See MoreLaura twixanddud - SE MI - 5b
