So Frustrated!..something is eating my babies!
Comments (6)How about trying to spray them with with a mix of 1 part Hydrogen Peroxide and 2 parts water. Be sure to get up under the leaves. Before you do that tho give the plant a good spraying down with your hose - blasting away anything nasty that is hiding. When using the H2O2 be sure to get the mix into every part of the plant. If you have white fly then use a mix of equal parts Rubbing Alcohol and Water - that will take care of about anything without resorting to chemicals ... especially good for aphids! My other handy-dandy "potion" is 1 part skim milk to 9 parts water and a few drops of dishwashing liquid (not antiseptic) - I give everything a good spray down with that in spring - it inhibits powdery mildew, black spot etc. Used that for years and wouldn't be without it! Good luck....See MoreLove my Bluestar range but so frustrated with the service!!
Comments (3)I too have had a recent frustrating experience with Blue Star service. Mine is just over 1yr old and the oven glow plug stopped working. I sent in a service request via the web site but didn't hear back for 4 days. I called and left a message. Got a call a few hours later, they said they had not gotten the email. No problem, they would be sending out a new part and would get a call from the service co in a few days. A week later, no word. I left voice mails over the next few days. Finally got an email from Matt (11 days from the initial request) saying they had sent the part (1 week after previously having been told that). Monday comes (2 weeks now elapsed time) and the service co. called and came out that day and fixed it. The range is great, but the response from Blue Star has been very disappointing. They started out strong, but then the communication just stopped. Not sure what is going on over there, but there is a lot of room for improvement....See MoreHelp, so frustrated with my cloudy glasses!
Comments (29)vickinbobyo: "I have extremely soft water, I have done everything Bosch says to do with this $2K piece of you know what dishwasher. Use the tabs, don't use the tabs, use Cascade Complete, do not use Cascade Complete, use regular Cascade (try to find that). You are using to much, then they try to show me I am using too much detergent, by running this dishwasher with no soap. Guess what WRONG!! All my glasses are etched and I am pretty pissed off." We live in Portland, Oregon, which also has very, very soft water. We used to have a set of everyday use glass bowls, not fancy at all, that we washed several times a week, and we were using "supermarket" name-brand dishwashing detergents -- Cascade, Unilever Sunlight, Electrasol, etc. -- in our dishwasher (but no rinse aid, although not that is not especially relevant to the matter under discussion). Those bowls got pretty wasted by the process -- see the image attached. Once we learned a few years ago that the culprit causing our etching was probably the dishwashing detergent we switched to Ecover detergent (see link), powder only, not tablets, and Somat Rinse Aid. The etched bowls did not get better, but new (cheap) glassware that we washed repeatedly did not etch, either, and we started entrusting our not-so-cheap fine glassware and china -- tentatively, at first -- to the dishwasher, carefully monitoring the process. Fast forward to 2013, and we have a pair of crystal wine glasses that were part of the "flight" at a visit to a very toney winery (their 750 ml bottles sell for $250 and up) in the Dundee Hills subregion near here; we partake of a glass of wine from those two glasses every night, seven days a week, and wash the glasses in the dishwasher afterwards. We took that winery tour over Thanksgiving weekend in 2008, so I estimate that those glasses have been through the dishwasher somewhere between 2500 and 3000 times by now, and they look today exactly as they did when we were given them in the winery. There is balm in Gilead. Here is a link that might be useful: Ecover powder...See MoreSo Frustrated I could scream!!
Comments (35)Wow dsf....you figured this all out ;) Yes you are right....I am no fool and the operations manager is clearly, the soft spoken apologetic voice who tries to keep calm. Everyone has a job to do, I honestly can say that my dealings with this company overall have been positive. I am wise to the business, and I can tell when I have had the BS sent my way. I know that there has been a little nickel and diming going on, and one sub really tried to stick it to me. I called him on it and gave him an out...he took it and made everything work out so that the price did not go above what he had already cheated me on. I just don't feel that getting into arguments, agitated and fighting with them is productive. I have kept my cool within reason and they know it. In the end I have a very nice pool and they made a little extra money. My main gripe is how they can have the sales guy keep doing this to people. He does this repeatedly and I have it from some of the subs that this is a recurrent theme. I was even emailed today by someone in my area who is going through the same exact situation....we both guessed immediately that we had the same sales guy. You know who he is I am sure of it. He may be great at design and sealing the deal, but he really leaves a sour taste in your mouth in the end. That is not good for business. I would recommend this company again, but not this sale rep. Anyway thanks for the positive wishes, I think everything is going work out and in the end they built us a very beautiful pool....See MoreJean
