I would love to go to NYC, Chicago, and Vermont

California has most every geographical feature one might want from ocean to desert to mountains. My favorite short term getaway is along the central coast. I like to camp up in the Santa Cruz Mts. or at one of the lake areas in the Sierras.

I also enjoy the Pacific Northwest. Love spending a few days right in downtown Portland in a boutique hotel, prowling Powell Books, eating off the fantastic food trucks and later hitting the coast or heading up to the Columbia River Gorge. Used to fly up but now I take the train. The trip is part of the experience and there is no restriction on what I can bring.

Someday I want to do a cross country trip. I would like to visit New York and see the eastern seaboard just to see what it's all about.

I'm there now! Martha's Vineyard! Utter bliss...

I'd love to someday get back to Maine to Mount Desert Island again - so gorgeous up there and I'd love to once again sit out on that lawn at the Jordan Pond House and eat hot popovers!

I have been to many scenic locations in the lower US and would enjoy revisiting some of those, namely Grand Canyon; Bryce; Sedona, AZ; Castle Valley, UT; Arches, UT; Island in the Sun, UT (Canyon Lands); New England in the fall; Alberta, Canada; and the Blue Ridge Parkway in fall.

NYC is my all-time favorite destination. I'd live there if I could.

I would like to visit Yellowstone National Park.

And would like to return to Yosemite National Park. (My favorite place on Earth.)

And to NYC to visit my grandkids and their parents. And to see the Yankees play baseball.

In the United States, Hawaii. Have always wanted to visit there.

Anglophilia- we almost went to Martha's Vineyard yesterday. We are in Boston and spent Friday going through Cape Cod, and yesterday was supposed to be Martha's Vineyard but I was too exhausted and requested more time in Boston. The weather has been pleasant. Have fun Anglophilia! We're off to NYC :) Broadway Shows, the MET and Central Park here I come!

I would love to spend a week camping in the Keys in the fall.

I would also like to tour the national parks in Utah.

Carmel and Monterey sound pretty good too!

Glacier National Park. Loved it, hated Yellowstone, too many semis and traffic. Alaska and Hawaii, such beautiful places. I am very fortunate to have met my husband 30 years ago and to get to travel to all of these places.

I've never been to Alaska. No plans....don't want to go enough to actually go....:0)

Nowhere right now...just got home from NYC and Baltimore. Right here is great for now. ;)

Oh Glenda, that's too bad! I was thinking your trip must be coming up soon and I hope you can reschedule it. I'd like to get to Europe one day, if I can tolerate the airplane.

NYC and Nantucket.

I want to drive across Canada! I'm hoping we can do it next year. I want to see Old Montreal and Quebec City. And I especially want to dip my toes in the Atlantic Ocean. I want to see Newfoundland. Is there a favourite part of the country I want to see? No. Just all of it.

I want to drive through the Rockies. I've flown over them a few times but I can't wait to see all the mountains and lakes up close. Maybe in a couple of years.

Utah! Traveled throughout the western states including the big national parks in the late '90's by motorcycle. Loved it all, but Utah was extra special. Would so love to do it again.

I am quite content to stay home here in the country, no desire to go anywhere.

I am sort of like Marilyn Sue. I have been to most of the places people mentioned, except Alaska and Hawaii. It is so much trouble to go anywhere, that travel no longer appeals to me. I would, however, like to go back to Tennessee and North Carolina, partly because I love the area, and I have friends and family there. I don't want to go camping though. I get enough nature at home.
