There are alot of variables. Is the area where you want the pad level? Does it have to be cut out with a bobcat or something. Do you have a place for the dirt to go or will they have to get rid of it. Usually you can get a square foot price to finish over the phone. I cut out the ground, formed my own pad, installed the gravel and leveled it. Then I paid 75 cents a square foot to have it finished. You need roughly 13 yards of concrete(85 dollars a yard here) if your pad is 4" thick, plus a load of washed gravel as a base.($200) I know its broad but somewhere between 4 and 6k. Get a couple of bids, but worry more about the concrete guys reputation than his price. If the cheapest guy makes a mistake its permanent!

roflmao!!! Are you trying to buy OUR DREAM HOUSE??? Seriously, we're having the same problem. "Our" dream house was foreclosed early summer '07. There a recorded foreclosure deed. The financial institution on the deed, however, swears that they do NOT own the property. Well, OK. The original lender is BK. Even the BK Court won't fess up to having the house on their property list. Things you can try... Bankruptcy filings are public information. So, in theory, you can wade through your district's filings & pour through the pages & pages of documents attempting to trace the property's movements. It's not an easy task. Stuff is available online. You can phone the tax assessor's office & ask who's paying the taxes. Call that institution. You can hire an attorney to trace ownership. You can also phone a title insurance company & ask if they offer such a service. Also, try a few appraisers...they may be willing to give it a go. And, for Heaven's sake...if you figure out how to do it simply please let me know!!! /tricia

Chair-Table I don't want to buy this one, but I'm curious because I have one almost identical. It belonged to dh's grandfather and I never really liked it, in fact I thought someone in the family must have made it. Ours is a lighter wood than this one and in much better shape. The one on ebay looks like it has some repair work where the bolt is. Ours is stuffed in a corner of the room with so much around it I can't get to it to take a pic. But it has no markings on it anywhere. If it's worth something, I'd like to sell the one we have, if it's not worth anything, I'd like to palm it off on another relative. lol
