Does Anyone Know How I Can Get a Piece of Teacher's Pet
Comments (12)From Stuart Asch's web page on FOoSF and I quote: [H. 'Teacher's Pet' ('00) Dorothy Benedict x Hosta montana 'Teacher's Pet' combines a captivating creamy white margin with a nicely corrugated slightly shiny green leaf. Leaves are lightly wavy, broadly ovate with a cordate base. The petioles have a cream margin and the seed is viable. Near white flowers with pale lavender base arrive in mid June. This is a truly beautiful plant that has also given me a fantastic sport that I now call 'Amazing Matthew'. Attempts to tissue culture 'Teacher's Pet' have not been successful. ] I think the optimal sentence here is "Attempts to tissue culture 'Teacher's Pet' have not been successful."...See MoreDoes anyone know where I can find this rug?
Comments (5)I went to the link for the original room design, and the rug was the client's, along with some other existing pieces. "First up is her dining room. They just recently built this house, so luckily for us, tabula rasa (blank slate). Nothing I love more. Since the room has beautiful millwork, we decided to go with a rich toffee brown color to coat the walls, which will serve as a fabulous contrast between the white details. She already had some existing pieces that were meant to stay: dining room table, buffet (temporarily), rug and a china cabinet that was dying for a makeover."...See MoreDoes anyone know where I can find this tube?

Make sure you click the message body, to get the cursor there B4 you right click to paste. Otherwise, just save it, either send as an attachment or insert. It is a gif so she can make it into a tube when she gets it. Urlee...See MoreHow would you position this small antique oak cabinet?
Comments (18)Sigh…. Its size for the space is partly why I didn’t buy it the first time I saw it a month or more ago. I do have a couple of other places I could put it, but I already have pieces I am cleaning up / repairing for those spots. Plus I do need a home for the magazines. If it is not easy to put them away, I know I won’t. If I don’t use this piece there, I will have to bring back the small table I had there before, whose wood does not match. I agree that it does look like it was originally part of a gentleman’s dresser, and was taken off. My piece has a new (ish) floor which you can see inside the door section. Someone went to a lot of trouble, as the addition is done very well, actually set into tongue and groove strips. Plus they added round metal feet of the kind you hammer in. I put felt pads on those immediately so I can slide it out without damaging my hardwood floor. I could add legs to elevate it, but that would be yet another project to add to a long list. I’ll use it where it is for now (sideways) and wait for inspiration to strike as to a possible other location. Finish color is best in that room, though....See Morefillmoe
