Planning a dream kitchen and facing reality can be two different things. In a perfect world we could have endless pantry storage at our fingertips, but sometimes fitting a pantry into the kitchen (or elsewhere in the home) takes some compromising — or at least a little creativity. Here’s a wide range of ideas for where you might best fit a pantry into your home, so you can find an option that works best for you.
At One End of a Galley Kitchen
Whether you have a wide kitchen with a bit of space to spare or a compact kitchen with nowhere else for the pantry to go, using a tall cabinet at one end of the kitchen can be a beautiful solution. This sort of layout creates an appealing symmetry with a tall cabinet at the other end for a fridge or other appliances.

We will start demo on our kitchen remodel this spring! In the professional design we have planned some shallow storage in between the studs of our walk in pantry! I can not tell you what a difference this will make! We are working with a very small and awkward space! Our designer did a fantastic job maximizing the space to include most of what I wanted in my "dream kitchen". I will post before and after pics as we go! But if you are planning a gut job, consider where you could possible add shallow storage for can goods, spices and such! :-) Oh by the way, she also added kick plate drawers which is usually wasted space! :-p
