Comments (4)There are multiple variegated jades; the first is either Crassula ovata var. obliqua f. variegata or Crassula ovata âÂÂTricolorâÂÂ....See MorePlease help me ID this Kalanchoe
Comments (7)Thanks for responses. I don't think it has the characteristics of Cotyledon as the leaves are heart-shaped, no red tinges, with no center point and the flowers are apparently not red on a stem but rather an insignificant green. I was told this by a neighbour of mine who took a cutting and grew it in her garden where it flowered. I took these photos during the past couple of days. The plants are outdoors in a street planter and they are well kept. But everything grows like weeds here in this climate without much attention. Cactusmcharris I will go out and see what Aeoniums I can find growing outdoors. I live just a few steps away from a botanical garden where I can go and also find these plants growing in large outdoor beds. And I'll come back with photos of whatever I find. Thank heavens the plants there are labeled. I may also find the ID and the variety of this succulent in the archives of the botanical garden. But please keep ideas coming. I'm originally from Vancouver Island by the way, so I'm another BC'er a long way from home. :-) Canarybird (Sharon)...See MoreKalanchoe ID
Comments (5)This is just an idea, but it looks like Flour Dust Plant, Kalanchoe pumila. That's a spreading plant with the lobed, kind of waxy or leathery leaves like the one in the pic. If I'm right, try taking a leaf cutting; it produces several new plants along the leaf margin, not at the stem side where cuttings taken from echeverias etc. produce their new plants. Good luck with it....See More5 new babies :) Please help with IDs
Comments (18)Nicholas, do you have an ID for the green plant in your top pic? It looks like a crassula ovata type but maybe a monadenium. If you don't have an ID, please post a side-view pic. On your two miniature aloes, there are so many on the market now and many are very similar from different hybridizers. I think I have the one in your bottom pic, I'll see if I have a label for it. You might Google 'miniature aloes' in Images and see if you can find some with names that looks like your two plants. Hybridizers of minis are Kelly Griffin, Dick Wright, Karen Zimmerman, Tim Harvey, Ed Hummel and Robert Grimm. If you Google some of these names you can see some of their hybrids, you'll marvel at the brilliant colors in some of their crosses. Check out this Karen Zimmerman hybrid, I've gotta find one of these.... http://huntingtonblogs.org/2015/03/fantasy-hybrid-aloes/ Russ...See MoreKaren S. (7b, NYC)
