Economical IS HD! You've been GIVEN the *economical option. You have a lovely stair case. It is a show stopper. Why go cheap on the thing that MAKES the space? Stairs have 15+ different codes that MUST BE MET. They are EXPENSIVE to redo. They are also some of the leading causes of death in the home (see 15+ different code requirements). This is the LAST place you want to go 'cheap'. It's up their with wiring and plumbing. A $200/tread is for a REGULAR staircase. Your stairs could push you to $350+. If you want Biance, then be prepared for the price tag of a stair professional. If you are OK with Karaoke night wanna bes, then go with HD.

You need a steir case pro to get any real help if those stairs go to bedrooms where I live they are illeagal since there is no way to get emergency persons and a strtcher up those stairs we wanted to do it in our last house and we had to put an access staircase on the exterior of our home .What si the space at the top of those stairs ?

Look at the sleeve of the stairs column. Does it look like it was put together like this photo of an ugly stair? The wood treadmill might be screwed on from underneath. Each stair might be just pieces dropped onto the top of the column. If so, you could take off the handrail and then disassemble it. I guarantee it would he a huge pain. I would be tempted to sand as us then stain everything stair related the darkest black solid stain I could find.  It will at least fade into "stair" and not look like you tried to match the new flooring but missed.

I need more info. A spiral to where ? Are un in NA? Usually spiral staircases are metal and come as "kit" Post pics of the space and where this is going . Where I live they are not allowed as the only way to access a second floor so I need info.
