Spacing for Sunny Knockout hedge?

I know Sunny Knockout isn't a fan favorite here, but I think it will work for my space and I actually like the simple, yellow to white blooms. Anyway, I'm trying to create a semicircular hedge. I have three sunny knockouts planted about 2.5 feet apart. Is this close enough so that in another year or two they will grow into a hedge? Or should I pick up two more and have them closer together? Here are some photos, excuse the junk everywhere... this landscaping project will never end

Wow what a lovely back yard!! I think your spacing is perfect. Maybe grab a couple perennials to go in between for the time being. Catmint would be so lovely there! I hope you enjoy your knockouts . I had two at the end of my walkway in pa and it looked great . I have them here too but my limelight hydrangeas have crowded them out
