Boy, are you lucky! I've only seen one once, and didn't buy it. I was afraid the faded blooms might look like the rainbow knockout's faded blooms (very washed out) ... So you must report for us!
A friend told me they have an orange lined up to come out. I really do hope they are all disease resistant!! ORANGE! That would just make my year the year that comes out!

There was one with faded blooms, and they do fade to cream, yes. That fits in my yellow rose bed just fine. It might not be for everybody. Mine has buds, I'll make pics as it blooms and fades for you to see.

If you can't wait for the orange, Livin' Easy does very well for me, with minimal disease. It's a big ol' floribunda and I just love it. In the same bed are Charisma, small orange floribundas.

I found a couple last week, but didn't buy any of them. The blooms were so faded, I didn't like it. I love the Grandma's Yellow, and even when that rose is shattered, it is still clear and beautiful color.

I don't care for the rainbow, and the pink isn't a favorite either. The most appealing thing about the KnockOuts for me is the foliage. I love that clean, beautiful red/green foliage that makes the blooms look like they are glowing.

I bought one in Delaware last summer. It gets better the second year. It's got red tinged leaves and the blooms are bigger and more fragrant this year. Yes, this one has a slight fragrance.

I don't like the rainbow and I bought a pink this year. All my others were red.

I came across some at Lowe's recently also and am now the proud owner of 2!! And they do have a nice fragrance. I was a little surprised that the blooms faded like they did, but it's not an issue for me. I was also told recently that they won't lose their foliage in the winter.. .. that was a pleasant surprise.

Mine gets about 4 hours of full sun with some dappled sun throughout the day. They are heavy feeders. I use 10-10-10. I don't mind that the color fades. I think the different yellows on the same plant helps rather than takes away from the effect. The reds almost seem surreal because the blooms are exactly the same color. Now, if they could just make it a double.

Sunny Knockout looks a lot like Carefree Sunshine and is also bred by Radler. I don't believe they share the same ancestry, but please correct me if I am wrong.

Dani, there's also a double pink. The blooms the first year will have pointed petals as they fade, but they eventually become more rounded as the plant ages.

Very pretty--i especially love the combination of yellow and purple!

I don't own any of the Knockout series of roses, but would if I had the room. ;-) B

I don't mind the cream color at all, that's pretty and many yellows fade to cream. It's more the dirty paper color of the sunny knockout faded blooms I don't care for. Too bad, it's a lovely rose otherwise.
If find it intriguing that a fragrant knockout has been created. That is a great breeding step for these roses!!

I keep going back & forth on whether to get a KO -- do you guys find it very thorny? Hubby is not happy with horny bushes.

KOs have moderate thorns, like most other floribundas. Not nearly as thorny as many climbers, but not thorn-free.

It is a selling point of KO roses that they don't require any care, including deadheading. My experience is that they look much better with the fading uglies snipped off, especially that first bloom in a cluster that always blooms first, typical of all floribundas.

I have 12 KO's and they are all fragrant. Both the red and the pink. I was surprised.They are evergreen here in AL. I like the single only, the double is too "fussy" LOL. I saw the Yellow KO 2 weeks ago at Lowes and was very tempted but I have so little space . I also saw a lovely new carpet rose and it was fragrant which my current pink ones around the fountain aren't. I didn't get any of that either although I could have squeezed them in. Sigh...GGG I do need that acre....c
