Does anyone have fantasy brown counters with grey cabinets?

Our cabinets are already ordered and we are leaning towards fantasy brown for counters but I'd love to see pictures of this combo before committing. Thanks!

I have fantasy brown countertops, midnight espresso cabinets, but my paint is a blue gray. The fantasy brown I have has a lot of gray in it so it looks great together. It depends a lot on the slabs. Some are very very brown with not much gray and white, some have very little browns but a lot of gray and white. Take a look at the very long post here labeled calling all fantasy brown owners. Lots of pictures of our kitchens to look at.

Also you can search on houzz for fantasy brown with gray cabinets.

I understand not being able to replace the tile; but if the plan is to replace it when you can afford to, I would demo the tile when you take out the counters. I would not want to demo tile once my brand new counters were in. Skim coat/sand, repair the walls as needed and just paint until you are ready to tile. Look at BM Pale Oak...looks slightly warmer than Vale Mist in my house.

Not enough contrast. The gray would have to be warm (more beige rather than gray) for BOTH cabinets AND back splash. A soft white is stunning against the HEAVY MOVEMENT of Fantasy Brown. I don't think your wife can appreciate the heavy impact that stone will have. You do NOT need any more "colour" in this space. The counters and the floors have PLENTY. Remember the K.I.S.S. rule: Keep It Simple Sally. Less is more in design.

We have it in polished with SW Thunder Gray on the bottom cabinets and we get tons of compliments on it. I was so scared but once it was installed I fell in love with it. It is beautiful!! So, so happy we went with it.

You can't look at your paint samples flat on the counters ... you are never going to see the actual colors in that orientation. Paint some larger boards and place them vertically in front of the cabinets. You could actually fit a large piece of painted sheetrock in the spot your DW is going. That would give you are pretty accurate idea of how that color will look. It is going to look a lot darker and greener on the face of the lower cabinets, than it does sitting on the counter under the window.
