Comments (16)This is a mural of a train painted on the wall around the corner from a well known restaurant I frequent: Whistlestop Cafe/Irondale Cafe. Not my picture, but I did have one of Nita when her family came to visit me, ever so long ago. It's very rare that you eat there without hearing and seeing trains pass by across the street from the cafe. People with kids and grandkids go across the across the street and sit on the benches just to watch the trains go by. Comments (18)Audrey, Consider this - in October when it looks dead and ugly, dig up the bulb. Store it in a cool and dark spot. Replant in March (including a bit of bone meal to encourage the root growth). I do that with my cannas. However, those itty bitty things are all over the yard and this rain has got them making big hills all over the place. 9 years agoThe one smiling is mine. He's always smiling, nothing special going on with the curly haired girl. Even though she's a sweetie. Marching band kickoff camp. They're done until July 17th.
