Grey counter tops and Lucent: Fossil Grey?

Has anyone had experience with with Lucent Quartz or this colour?

We bought an ikea white kitchen (which is just slightly off white) and since we have light floors are looking for a bit of contrast.

Any advice? Is it true darker counters show all finger prints and messes? Is grey a good colour to have contrast but light enough to still hide any tough to clean things?

Advice on counter tops is appreciated!

the floors are a light white and grey mix.

What kind of look do they want? Veined - particulate - whites - grays - dark - light... that is a neutral color and so many things could go with it.... Does it need to be granite? What about quartz? Look at Cambria Berwyn for a light color... What is their budget like? Azul Platino is an inexpensive pretty granite....

I would do black countertops

We have dark countertops, no problem with fingerprints but every bit of dust shows when the light hits. I wipe down the counters in the morning and by mid-afternoon they look like they have not been cleaned in months. We live in So Californua and have our windows open whenever we can, so we may have more dust than the average family. Do not plan to get dark countertops again.

I have to agree with jill. I once had black, honed granite. I loved the look but I will never do it again.
