Advice choosing root stock for grafting uique old heirloom apple tree

Hi, I am planting a small orchard and want to include a few of my own grafts from an ancient apple tree that is near the ruined old log cabin on the property. I have searched and searched for what variety it might be, and I think it might be a one of a kind tree! It is an august apple with clear skin and pink stripes. The pink bleeds through to the apple flesh. they are delicious! I am looking for a zone 4 root stock to order so that I can graft the trees and include them in my small personal orchard which has 25 foot spacing. I live in northern Michigan, which is technically zone 5, but we have lost some zone 5 trees during really cold winters here. I appreciate the advice because I want to save this tree for posterity. The apples only really keep a few weeks at peak flavor, so they wouldn't have a commercial application, but the taste is heavenly in August, and they are a very pretty full-sized apple. Thanks!
