oh, ok yeah-- I see that the corner is the best spot. the fireplace is too tall and the ceiling too low. a TV would look crammed up there, plus it would be very uncomfortable. if the couch is the favorite seat, then I think the viewing angle would be best if you mounted it flat on the wall, not the corner. try it out-- find a small piece of furniture in your house (or a crate) to temporarily move over there, and set the TV on it to see if you like the angle. due to the heat pump, is the radiator decommissioned? can you remove it? or if it's still working, consider a custom piece that covers it on the left while allowing ventilation. I feel like something wide would balance the space: or a small piece that fits directly under doesn't have to be a TV console. it could be a bookcase or cubbies. is it so important that you have the furniture gathered directly around the fireplace that you would sacrifice the looks and function of the room as a whole? if you had a different layout, you will still be close enough to the fire to enjoy it. not only does it look super weird to have the dining table between the couch and the TV, but it makes the dining area awkward to get to from the kitchen. and the gap behind the couch looks like wasted dead space. (unless you can do something useful with it and make it look good?) one other option is to get new living room furniture and arrange it like what the previous owner did, and put the frame TV where their big painting was.

Yeah, I'm waiting to have a built-in installed and will get one of The Frame TVs. I'll be replacing another perfectly functional TV, but not as sleek! I'm amazed at how "little" these large TVs cost these days ... we bought a 50" plasma TV when the technology was new and paid a fortune 18 years ago! We gave it to a friend a few years ago and it is still running!
