Thank you Steve! I have pictured an 8 to 10" wide stripe in two subtle colors (same chip)for the upper section of the room. Maybe a rich cream and a shade deeper. What I don't know is how to ensure straight lines, should one stripe be a different finish, and the logistics of painting them. Do you paint a base color and then section off the stripes for the other color? And if so, how? I was envisioning the bottom half in a mocha or light cocoa and then using the black as accent color on the console table, art etc. Again, appreciate any ideas.

Brutuses - I didn't make the valance. Bought it off ebay awhile back. I recently discovered how cheap the fabric itself is ($16 something a yard) haha I'm not even going to tell you what I paid for it. The background is goldish kind of an antique color. Here's a close up. I was considering using a darker brown gold for in the bath. Color on the left is more accurate. Yeah I really don't think I can do red as a wall color for that whole area. I believe I'll tire or it extrememly quick. So let's nix the red and focus more on a cream since that seems to be the other suggestion. Cream or something else. I was going through my stack of SW color...can you believe I can't find the ones listed above!

Don't do Gray. It has peaked out. Stay with a warm cream. Your blue is so pretty and the cream looks great with it. Unless you like changing colors often, I would stay with cream. It will look good for years to come.

If you paint the samples against a white background you will get the true color. Against another color it's too hard to tell.
