These photos magically appeared in my camera while, on Bob's orders, I was dutifully resting on the sofa getting over the flu. It's amazing how things like this happen! Something for "Believe It or Not", right?
This looks like Mexican feather grass blowing in the breeze. Good thing thing I stayed inside out of the wind ...
Wow, the bolting Crawford lettuce has really gotten tall since I've been indoors for the last week ...
And the mock orange burst into full bloom while I wasn't looking. When I'm up and about again I'll have to check to make sure red wasps haven't started a nest inside the birdhouse. It's one of their favorite places to do so ...
This rose from "Blue Girl" Karen is really showing off. I wonder if she saw it when she came by yesterday, since of course I didn't go outside to point it out to her? ...
My roaming camera obviously like closeups like this shot of Purple porter weed. Maybe the hummers, who love it, darted away at the last moment ...

Comments (6)Thanks for sharing that Ron. I did not know any of those stories. They all touched me, and they made me think of many other stories there are out there. I travel a lot on my job and in pursuit of my other passion in life; trout fishing. I see men and women in uniform in almost every airport I travel to, but I particularly see many on my trips to Charlotte. Some of these folks are going "over there" (or getting ready to) and a few of them I've met were coming home. I never go by without letting these people know that many people here at home, whom they have never met, care deeply about them, worry for them, wish them a swift and safe return, and thank them for their service. I hope these people never ever want for their fellow Americans respect and concern. And I hope that if you are reading this that you will reach out to these people when you see them in your own life, shake their hand, thank them for the job they do, and let them know in some small but sincere way that you care. LOL...after the first year of doing this for all the kids in the family for Easter I made sure to keep a list of where all the plastic eggs were. My brothers-in-law and I were all wandering around like idiots trying to find the last eggs since I always had one of each color for all the kids. I got some from a lady in Missouri a few years ago and I planted them, but my dad ran over them with the lawn mower, and I couldn't get ahold of the lady to send me anymore (I paid for shipping via paypal). Comments (14)My daughter begged for a tattoo,I always said NO. The day after her 18th BDay, she went to a tattoo parlor and got a tattoo, a small black heart outline on her left hip. Her best friend Steohanie got an identical tat the same day on her right hip. Actually quite cute, and would be hidden if they wore normal clothes. I asked her if she wanted another one. Oh no, it hurt soooo much! I'm glad she found out they're painful. I know at the tattoo parlor they are verey sanitary, change needles between customers, and advise customers to wash with antiseptic cleanser for a week. They gave her a brochure. But there was no anesthesia, nothing to kill the pain. And they did "proof" her age. I would hate to see a small child with a real tattoo....See More
