Do you have John Paul II/Jan Pawel II clematis in your garden?
Comments (1)I have John Paul 11, although the coloring is very subtle it is a very pretty clematis. Don't have a picture of mine but the color in the pictures in the link below is the same as mine. Comments (7)Ken, on my post about discussing HVX with your retailers I referred to seeing Blue Angel with a dullish look that is similar to your pics of sun damage. My experience has been as your pics show, usually with the arched tip ends of blades showing more scorching than the base end and in upward curling blades like drinking gourd the raised margins. The Blue Angel I saw were evenly colored over the whole blade and all of the plants were the same. It almost made them look the color of Krossa Regal. I'm not ready to declare it early stages of HVX on a blue/green leaf but I told my daughter I would take a pass on buying them. On a hosta leaf the part nearest the sun will always show heavier scorching (IMO). Les...See MoreBreezygirl do you have a picture of BM Thunder in your LR?
Comments (14)Hi Positano. Sorry I couldn't get to this earlier. I saw your post right before I rushed out the door to lead our July 4 parade. I've never posted pics of my rooms with Thunder or Nimbus, although you might be able to see them in the background of a couple of my kitchen shots. I didn't specifically take pics of those rooms after we moved in because they were a mess with all our moving boxes, etc as we did some minor finishing on other areas of the house to enable us to unpack said boxes. Plus, DH needed to finish painting them. I accidentally dropped my camera in the lake the evening after my dad's memorial service several weeks ago so I can't take new photos for you right now. Let me try to find the computer cord for DH's little-used camera in the next day or so. Thunder does not tend to any purple or pink undertones in my LR. Nimbus, in my FR bordering kitchen, seemed to at first before we moved in, but either the furniture fixed that or I got used to it. I don't see any lavender now. I really like both colors, but Thunder can make my heart skip a beat sometimes. Love it! I'll see what I can do for you!...See MoreDo you have any idea? (See picture)
Comments (11)Oh my gosh! I love all the ideas! I had not thought of an arbor. But, since the back gets the hot afternoon sun, I must say I love suero's photoshopped picture. I think that is exactly what I would want. Punamytsike, I understand what you are explaining about needing to float the left side over the sunroom roof somewhat so that the rain water has a valley (gutter?) to transfer the rain down. I would stop the patio roof even with the sunroom roof, or just shy of it, whichever the builder thinks is best. I also plan to take down the short brick wall, so I can add two posts/colums on either side, with wider space in the center. Between the posts, I would put a little picket railing. Suero, I hate to even ask, but if you could, I would love for you to photoshop for me what I have tried to explain. The patio is approx. 25' x 10'. Thank you all for your ideas. I knew this form would come up with something that I could visualize!! Carolyn...See MoreOakley
