On Saturday I did a challenging 2 hour trail run and yesterday a light one. Today was a strength class, walking my nieces dog and then just errands.

Yesterday I climbed the stairs at work during my lunch break and my legs shook and felt like noodles for nearly 2 hours after. I think I overdid it. ( : Today, I'm extremely sore from my thighs on down. I did do some squats, and other mild exercises prescribed by an md. I had my first appointment today at a medically supervised diet clinic. I feel like it's the last attempt to get the weight off for good or go have lap band surgery. Their exercise program starting off is a lot simpler than what I've been doing, but I don't do anything on days I work other than walking the stairs or walking around the hospital. I guess I'll have to do them in the morning instead of reading my e-mails and the KT. Getting ready to go to the store for food that is prescribed for me....

I started walking with the puppy during the daytime last week. I only get a mile or two in because he gets tired and then I have to carry him. We try to get the kids out for either a walk or bike ride at night. Since the weather has been nicer, I hid most of the video games last week and kicked the kids out of the house. They went out front and sat on the porch swing. It is too pretty for them to be couch potatoes inside. My 8 yo snuck the tv back on so I think that will be the next to go. We have had a few kids move into the neighborhood this summer so they've been playing outside more.

I went to work a half hour early and spent the time on the treadmill (two miles) and the recumbant bike (1 mile at med/hard settings.) Even though they don't use it we have to provide our seniors exercise equipment. Rather than let it gather dust I use those machines three days a week and my airdyne bike four days. It's amazing what twenty-thirty minutes a day can do for you! If I skip a day or two my back starts hurting, my core gets weak and my knees get stiff. Lori

Supposed to cut the grass today, but doubt if I'll get to it. It's not growing anymore, thank goodness, so I'm safe for another week. I've been walking all day every day at work, so I take my days off to relax, sort of, although I am doing housework, and that's enough exercise for one day. I do have one tip, though. While you're sitting in your recliner watching t.v., do leg lifts and bicycles (don't have to stick your feet up in the air) and throw in a few scissors. You'll feel that tush tightening quicker than you would imagine, and the tummy flattening too. I started out doing about 20, and ended up doing 500, and it helped me a lot. Of course, I'm not doing it now, but I'm going to start back. I just don't watch too much t.v. anymore.

I had a setback because of my previously fractured ankle, but things are looking better today. I'm on track for 10,000 steps today.

I finally went to the gym yesterday, but only did arms. I went to the Chiro today and I don't have to see him for 2 weeks. I'm looking at some classes that I want to do at the gym and will start off easy.

Moving mulch for an hour so far. Have not done any of the usual exercises for weeks now, but moving a fence, staining 100s of feet of fence, planting ,etc. I think counts as exercise. There is a very small window of nice cool mornings to do heavy garden work, and that needs to get finished.

5.5 mile running route today. I don't carry a step counter. I own one, maybe I should...? My GF is walking with me tomorrow....she doesn't run any of it...so it will take longer, but she is sooooooooo darn happy/good company!

I do around 6.2 miles a day. Already did 1.2 in the yard, now I'm walking the dog for three miles, then the gym for two on the treadmill.

I walked after school today for about 30 minutes with friends. After the tornado warning, the rain subsided, so friends and I were able to walk after school today. We walked for about 30 minutes before the rain commenced. Did my stretches this morning, too. Hoping to go to yoga class tomorrow morning.
