When I bought the house I'm in now, the sellers were told we wanted the code for the garage door pad when we did the final walk-through (they had previously told us that they'd lost the remote control for the garage door). When I did the walk-through, not only had they removed the mirror from the powder room but they took the garage door pad, which involved unscrewing it from the exterior. I was furious but decided it wasn't worth delaying the closing or anything like that. Then the sellers' agent contacted us and said the sellers wanted the dining room light fixture. It was truly butt-ugly and I knew it would be the first thing I replaced but I said I was not interested in letting them have it. (note: they had not lived in this house for four years. A relative had been renting it from them until a few months before they put it on the market. So they had plenty of time to remove it prior to listing.) It gave me great pleasure to donate that fixture to Habitat for Humanity a month later.

Chrome finish was probably the last to appear in the bathrooms. Historically speaking. So I can't see why it's more timeless than the others. Actually I can't see how one finish can be more timeless than the other..it should work in your space and make sense, and you can mix finishes too(well not two different faucets...)) I myself am not a fan neither of chrome nor of brushed nickel (I'm not a fan of quite a few finishes to tell the truth lol)..together with that-that's really, really not going to influence me one bit if I like the house as a whole. So I had (and have) plenty of chrome myself-ok not my favorite, and don't understand what's timeless about it (it looks right at every price point though, that's important...because orb for example starts being expensive in order to look and feel refined..and chrome is one of the few finishes readily available, so that's important too), but I'm not taking it out. Neither would I switch fixtures in any finish unless they have no connection to the general space or are just too gaudy and look bad. It's a question of quality of a finish too. For example I found it's hard to find things that are gilded and don't look like I myself spay-painted them with my left hands, unless you go up in price. Speaking of new mirrors, lights, etc. Some finishes are just harder to get nicely done nowadays. Chrome is easy to get to look right. But it's not because it's more timeless than other metals. They were there long time before chrome.

Sparkly clean and organized sells. Yes to replacing bulbs too. Add some colorful inexpensive art on the wall. You could repaint the walls if desired a more neutral color. But I wouldn't change out any fixtures or remodel. You don't get your money back. Refreshing is not the same as remodeling. Do make it appealing by having plant or flowers/spa basket of towels when you stage it to sell. Keep it simple.

White walls are fine. My advice: clean the floors super well and consider lightening the grout with a grout pen. Tedious work but would brighten the floor. Test it behind the toilet. Stark white grout wouldn't look good either. A white fabric curtain hemmed to the right length. A simple framed canvas picture hung with Command hooks over the toilet. Think abstracts, landscapes. Soft blues or greens paired with white are classic spa combos that read "clean" so my vote is white towels (but bath towels aren't out for showings, are they?). For showings: please close the toilet lid. Remove everything off the toilet top. Style the vanity with a luxe soap dispenser and a plant or flower. Depending on budget, vanity hardware might be worth switching (can't see current well). If the realtor can't advise on home staging, consider hiring a home staging company. These types of decor investments are all market-dependant. Currently, many housing markets in my area have bidding wars and home staging is practically superfluous. Good luck!
