Hi, I live in a bi-level, and so when you come in the front door there is a half stairway either going up to the living room or down to the basement. Directly above the foyer is a light fixture that is quite high, making it very difficult to clean or change bulbs without having a pretty big ladder. As a result, it never gets cleaned.

I'm looking to replace the existing fixture with something that will raise and lower - perhaps that has a chain, etc. that comes across from the top and then attaches to the wall for manual operation. I've read about these Aladdin Light Lifts that utilize motorized pulley systems placed up in the ceiling that automatically drop and raise the fixture - certainly nice but more geared to larger fixtures in excess of 200 lbs and also complicated and involved to install.

Please let me know of any suggestions. I can't imagine that they don't make the kind of fixture I'm looking for! Thanks...
