Need a "non-splashing" kitchen faucet

Current home has a Kohler Vinnata faucet. It as the side handle. While the faucet has been fine the past 10 years I hate we constantly have water drips and pooling around the faucet on the countertop.

Is there a magical faucet that will minimize water dripping on the counter? My only requirements are that it be a one handle faucet (single hole) with a pull down sprayer. I have access to good prices for Hans Grohe, California Faucets, Watermark, Toto, and Newport Brass. But I'm not opposed to looking at Moen, Kohler, Delta, etc either.

Any suggestions? We are ordering plumbing fixtures this week. Thanks!

You can have a side handle turned to the front on most faucets. I have my side handle to the left and over the sink. Though not left handed, I tend to use my left more to turn on the faucet and since my drain is on the right, I tend to have the spout turned towards the right - which causes the flow of water to slightly block the right side of the faucet anyway. It took me a bit to get used to this set up, but I love it now - and handle drips into the sink.

@Jerry Jorgenson - the OP is considering a Hansgrohe Concetto, which is in the $200 range. She is also looking Grohe faucets which can be a few hundred more, depending on model. The Waterstone faucets start at about $1200, and go up to the $4000s. People need to mention pricing when they give recs so that the OP or others looking at the post understand the pricing points of those faucets.

For $500, plug the hole, and go out to eat! many many many times!? LOL I know, they have become a racket. We have had good luck with Delta and Price Phister, just make sure by talking to a 'conservative' plumber, that seals and parts for what you buy are readily available, not OEM....that is where the pocketbook and the life of the faucet go NUTS.

While the darker granite composite sinks are pretty indestructible, the white and cream ones stain easily and are harder to clean. If I were only choosing white/cream sink, I would get enameled cast iron. I don’t think a white sink will look that great with the OP’s choice of counter. To the OP - Cambria Skara Brae is a pretty contemporary look. I would choose a black granite composite sink like the Blanco Silgranit anthracite color to set it off, and I’d choose a polished faucet finish like polished chrome (not a brushed finish) so that the faucet gleams like jewelry on black velvet with the counter and black sink. Here are photos of the OP’s choice of counter. I could only find pics of it with stainless steel sinks which the OP says she doesn’t want.

Check out the Moen 5923. I have a 45” sink and have had no issues… faucet has a large reach and very long hose.

I find that most splashing is caused by washing hands or things between the bottom of the spout and the top of the counter. In 'the old days' when the normal kitchen faucet was only a couple of inches higher than the counter and projected forward into the sink more, splashing was less of a problem - at least for me - because the splashing was caught within the sink itself. I'm trying to get in the habit of washing lower down in the water stream but for someone tall, that's a back breaker.
