I'm so excited for you. Our first day of spring is just crazy. Last week we broke all time temperature records for this month by 10 degrees or more when we were in the mid 70s. Today my car thermometer read 87! This is just incredible. More often than not, we have snow routinely this time of year. Our Forsythia is blooming at least a month ahead of schedule. We're certainly enjoying it for now. I just hope the fruit trees and other vital agricultural products aren't ruined if we return to our typical temps. Our normal last frost date is June 1. Wherever you are pesky, I'd love to be there. Spring is long gone and we are into July-type temps right now with blazing heat & HUMIDITY. Ugh, talk about bad hair days. Usually I open all of the windows on the first spring-type weather day. Get out the old stale air and let in some "sunny" air after being closed up all winter. I have been known to jump the gun and start washing some summer clothes in anticipation of even warmer weather. Your sheets ritual sounds devine especially after having a nice soak in the hot tub and hitting cool clean sheets that have hung to dry in the fresh spring breeze. Actually, I'll take a bit of your weather as today was muggy and hot which makes me crabby unless I have time to sit by the pool with a cool drink and a book. Rather, I spent the day at a bridal shower which was very nice. However, the last of the showers is tomorrow (oh, today) so I am done with those for awhile, hopefully. Enjoy your spring weather!

Here is our first daffodil of 2017, almost open today. The thing is, our winters are generally mild, but our summers never get much over the twenties, and can be wet at times too, Our weather is very variable. You, however, get five months of very hot weather, from what I see on the forum here, and that must make up for the cold months. We've had bees in the garden all winter, and there are always blooms of some sort or other, but it would be nice to know it was going to be quite warm in a month or two, and not just in the teens. This is certainly the place to live if you like mild winters and airy summers - it's what's called an 'island' climate.

Sorry about all the not spring like weather! Thank you Donna. it's part of a picture I recently got for our bedroom. It's very big but I needed to look at beautiful flowers first thing in the morning no matter what's going on out there :-). We're expecting snow in the next few days as well. I don't think it will stick though. We had a rain free cloudy day today. That's okay I was inside for most of it working other than 2 dog walks.
