Camelot has always interested me, but I'm seriously out of room. I ended up with what I think is Blue Cadet several years ago when I thought I was buying a second Hadspen Blue. Even though I didn't intend to buy BC, I really love it. It's perfect little plain mound makes it stand out when surrounded by "flashier" hosta, IMO. But I will say that mine isn't THAT small. I'm not sure if it's done growing or what, but it's noticeably bigger than last year. I also went through an "OMG, I need to tone it down" phase after I started collecting hosta. I think everyone gravitates towards the variegated ones in the beginning. To add more balance yet not be boring, I looked into getting some interesting solid greens. I have a grouping of Lily Pad, Rosedale Spoons, and Manhattan, which is probably my favorite combination in the whole garden...and they are just green!

Okay...all the junk is out! Plan: clean up/mop dust, mortar chips, etc. and spend the evening with my paint samples...narrow down to three or four...paint sample boards, and pick a color. I would love to have time to see the sample boards in different light etc.; but my get-er-done DH scheduled plumbers on Monday and convinced the tile setters to partially grout the shower and come back to finish on Monday too....Grrrr! So...I plan to only paint behind the toilet and area and by bullnose edging. If I pick wrong.....I will not have to do redo the whole room. If I pick the wrong color, I am not worried about repainting near the bullnose; it is the toilet area that worries me. Anyone have a tip for painting behind a toilet that is 1/2 inch from the wall just in case. This is our attempt to correct a horrible inefficient layout...not thrilled about looking at the side of a toilet; but that compromise meant a towel closet in the bathroom (finally), a 60x60 angle shower, and room for a 77" double vanity while eliminating the 3 right angles in the second entrance from the master bath.

I can try when I get home, but the lighting isn't finished and the one window in there is still blocked off, so I'm not sure the lighting is good enough to show what I'm talking about. My gut feeling is overall it'll be less noticeable when everything is installed like when we've finished other areas, but just don't want to bring out the pink undertone if I can help it. Lisa

cdisimone - I have very similar color cabinets and granite in my kitchen except my backsplash is lighter and floors are very dark porcelain, wood look tile. I've been looking for a color that will work throughout the majority of my house too. After weeks of deliberating, I started with my dining room and painted Shoji White last night. Not sure I like it....it does not look warm or creamy in my house at all. It looks like a very light cool gray. :-( I was going more for a warm white so I can brighten things up but still have the warm, cozy feel. I'm going to give it a few days before continuing on through the rest of my house. My suggestion is to paint an entire wall or much larger sample on your wall before deciding!
