oh dear I don't want to end up storing one in my dining area! I'd love to borrow yours, I'd even make something for you, but I suspect we're pretty far apart. I'm in northern Utah.

I saw one similar to that Bosch at the house of the woman who stripped my tool chest, they had a dolly for it, that folded out into a table. Very nice. I have a carport to work in and it's pretty dry here in the summer, but no room or weather (or theft) protection for long term storage. My cellar is tiny with a low ceiling, made lower by duct work, one light bulb, no sockets and crumbling concrete stairs and once down there it would probably stay down there, collecting spider webs and dust.

I have a few more people to ask, I'd really prefer to trade or pay cash to someone to cut to my measurements. I really like my fingers and my time for other pursuits. But I also want prompt delivery and the people I haven't asked yet, I haven't asked because I know they are either very busy or are dawdlers, or both. I get the dawdling...I'm slow to finish projects myself, but impatient when starting them.

I need one like you do stringweaver. Northern Utah. We are practically neighbors. I have a chop saw and a small skill saw I can handle. Not as good as a table saw though.

Maybe keep your eye out for one on Craigs list then re-sell it when you are done with it? I have a large garage so room to store mine.

We had a carport when I was a kid, but it had shallow cabinets built in all along the house side that could be padlocked. Would you have room enough to do that? I know you are handy enough to do it.

I have a pair of awesome pink heavy steel medical cabinets along the wall to hold all my dyeing, canning, cheese and wine making gear and hand tools. There isn't room for a saw too.

I'm actually not worried about theft so much as weather and space. The car port is high and wide, wind blows rain and snow in. Long term plans include a sink base cabinet across part of the back of the port, plumbed with a garden hose, and some good quality folding standing height tables for canning and dye days. They can store on top of the cabinets. I'll add a trellis across the back end and side to cut down on snow blowing in. I don't park the car in the port in the summer, but I do in the winter.

Iowa is probably too far? Yes. I suppose so. Mine is in the garage. I don't think I've used it for 2 years.

oh boy....seems lots of you have stored table saws. More incentive to try and find someone to do the work for me and avoid getting my own.

I hope I'm finally done remodeling! Not quite true. It's time to rip up the upstairs carpet that was here when I moved here. Depending on what I find under it, I might be putting down new underlayment. I suspect it will be the wide boards in which case I will see what a winter is like with an area rug. If it's too cold I'll put down some cheap carpet. Most of my projects these days are a skil saw and a hammer.

I'm into trapping season now. The wild life has come out and I am afraid it will over run me! The farmer down the road took out 3 groves 2 years ago. The displaced wild life has nowhere to go. Something broke my live trap the other night. Now I have two live traps! And I have to get one of my barns cleaned out before it gets too warm. I shot a skunk in there a couple of weeks ago. I'd better get that at the top of my list. A good stiff breeze out of the west would be perfect. Daffodils are up.

yay I found a friend with a table saw who is enthusiastic to help me cut a couple projects one day soon. In exchange I'll darn a favorite old sweater. A good deal.

I'll take careful measurements and come up with a shopping list this weekend, though we'll have to wait for a sunny day to do the work on his porch. Definitely not this weekend. Cold and rain due tomorrow.
