Two sectional groups in one large room?
Comments (6)I actually never like sectionals for seating so 2 would not ever work for me IMO everyone lined up on a sectional with no arm rests is just plain uncomfortable.I have a large LR where we entertain oftne with 2 sofas 4 chairs and a bench the seating can be rearranged easily and I also move it to make room for out chrismas tree The bench divides the 2 seating areas but allows conversation all over the space. We do not have a TV there but a huge FP...See MoreI'm not sure if I should do two rugs, one in front of the sink and on
Comments (7)can you put in a new vanity light? there is nothing spa-like about it. You can put that one aside, (find a cheaper option w/lights that point down!) and install one of your own. this one is from lowes Ditto w/knobs on the cabinet. and maybe a new window covering. You can find bamboo blinds at lowes. grab a few plants and hang them from the ceiling like shown. (get little screw in J hooks. that can be removed and patched when you leave) see how cute? find a garden stool (HomeGoods) and put it between toilet/sink. or under window. bring in baskets. maybe hang a shelf over toilet. get some towel hangers. pretty towels. greenery, some pictures. maybe paint the wall a diff color. bamboo blinds, wicker baskets, new rug. all will give you a diff feel. how about some type of bamboo shelf caddy? maybe next to toilet or somewhere else? But you need to start w/a light fixture! these are simple DIY privacy shades i'd prob find a larger rug. one that spans toilet/sink, and covers a good portion of the tile (not these colors,,,just showing you the size large fluffy, washable white one, would prob be best get something that stretches from door to wall and tub to toilet or, try a wood / teak or bamboo, mat for exiting the shower and get a smaller rug for in front of the sink. you really shouldn't have a toilet rug. (I mean, you can, unless you have 3 guys using this bathroom. in that case it would get kind of gross.) they have a cork mat too hide the toilet supplies on the other side. maybe find a storage caddie for those...See MoreCan I use two rugs in a huge main room?
Comments (2)16x20 isn’t real large. You wouldn’t be able to get two 8x10s, but maybe one 8x10 for the sectional side and then a 5x7 for the fireplace side. Do you already have the furniture and know it will fit well?...See MoreTrying to combine two rooms into one large kitchen but very odd shape
Comments (25)Using @itsourcasa layout as an example to illustrate your plans vs theirs, I have marked in RED the "foundation wall" of the kitchen (where you base your focus from and eminate it out from there, if you will). In BLUE is living/dining in the same manner. In ORANGE are those pesky humans. See how with itsourcasa there is interaction, communication, and focus directed on areas where people naturally want to congregrate? In yours, see how you have segregated that? To be clear, this is not an "open concept" kitchen vs a "closed kitchen," you can easily open up some of a wall and still feel like a "closed kitchen" if that is what you prefer. Rather, it is the segregation and diverging focus of the adjacencies. Also, functionally I would think the kitchen would want to be close/interact with the Party room and outdoor eating when the pool area is such a dominant force in this property....See MoreUser
