Longevity of natural maple cabinets

Carolyn

We are redoing our kitchen and I want to have natural maple cabinets. I absolutely love how they look, I love the color, I love everything about them. The more I read though, it seems that so many people say that they yellow and turn ugly over time.

I guess I'm just looking for anyone who has had natural maple cabinets for a while to see if they still love them. The natural maple is my absolute favorite, but I don't want to throw away money on our kitchen remodel if they aren't going to look good in a few years.

I've read that sunlight accelerates the yellowing process, and while our kitchen doesn't get direct sunlight it does get a fair amount of natural light.

Does anyone have any advice? Thanks.
