No matter what you do it's never going to match your floors because they're different woods - you won't get that dark graining on the door and the natural color of the woods is different to begin with. I'd be afraid that trying to match will always look like a swing and a miss. If it were MY door, I'd make them different enough that it's clear matching was never the hope. In your first picture I thought the door might even be painted yellow and that looks lovely with your blue gray siding.

Front doors should stand out and be welcoming, color that pops. You could try something like a Raspberry Truffle in the reds, or maybe a Bermuda Blue.

have only found one that is either square on both sides or round on both sides. If the one you found is the same brand, possibly buy one square/ one round and interchange the escutcheons? The core is likely the same in both so could be a simple matter of using parts from one on the other. And you would have a spare cylinder in case something goes wrong or you need to change keys?

We will absolutely update here once we choose the color @Jilly (the door as is has no paint). I tend to agree about the shutters coming off, though I want to get the paint done on the door ASAP. I am really concerned the brick underneath will be a totally different color after nearly 50 years of not being exposed to light. I'll work on that issue. VERY good point(s) about the larger light fixtures needed -- we'd started looking last night at that (thanks to everyone who commented). That's a quick, easy fix. And the walkway will be poured (hopefully) by early spring. Delays, delays, delays. I'm going to have them go slightly larger with the walkway near the porch so we'll be able to finally have larger square planters. Thank you for the photo inspiration on that @elcieg. As is right now, if we tried larger planters, they'd fall off the walkway. It's a whole thing. I'm really glad I posted. I feel like we finally have some forward motion. Oh!
