Why have my rose leaves and stems all gone white?
Comments (0)When the weather is hot days and cold nights it becomes the idea condition for downy mildew. This is the worst kind as it will overwinter on the canes and show up again when next year. Spraying at the first sign with a fungicide weekly until all signs are gone will cure it. Some roses will get it if their roots are dry so a mulch is a good idea. Too close planting where air cannot circulate is another reason for this type of mildew....See Moremy roses are getting dry and leaves are falling ?
Comments (10)Manoj without being able to see the plant this is my guess. When leaves yellow then turn brown and crispy. It is almost always a root problem. Either sever transplant shock, Maybe it was placed in full sun before it was ready after changing pots. Perhaps the roots have been to wet or to dry. Maybe the roots fried in a dark pot. Last but not least too much fertilizer burned the roots. If your canes are still green she is still alive. Try to find the problem. Then move the pot to a shady area while it recovers. I wish you the best with your rose....See MoreWhy did my rose of sharon buds fall off?
Comments (3)Too wet, too dry or some other environmental adversity. Including perhaps the onset of autumnal temperatures. This likes rich soil, many of them here - where there is a lot of them to observe, both at outlets and in plantings - have quite poor leaf color most of the time. And hibiscus in general aren't wild about acidic soil either, which is dominant in my area....See MoreWhy is my geranium producing tiny stems and leaves?
Comments (10)I have the same type of geraniums. It’s been 2 months and they just won’t grow. They get fertilizer weakly weekly as all my other plants. I have them in full sun. I just gave up on thinking they are going to get taller or fuller. I swear it is always the ones I buy from the big box store. I could not go any farther this year to get plants. Every year I say I am not going there but they are much closer than any nursery. My friend picked me up a couple for my hanging baskets from a nursery and they look awesome. Live and learn always....See Moreseil zone 6b MI
