Comments (15)Some of you guys had me cracking up... Marlene, your first thought was target practice! LOL. And I thought I knew you well, Girl. Apparently not. ;o) Same with you, Jeanne, for being tempted as well. Caroleena, your Mayor would need sedating? LOL, love it. As for "Wasps, spiders, mosquitoes, snakes and dust"...as pretty as this place is, I have a feeling the owner either doesn't have much problem with them or has a way to take of it. Considering the number of cups, I imagine a lot were 'donated' and rest bought at thrift stores for a quarter each. And over a long period of time. This is some SERIOUS mug collecting. However, if you drink that much coffee, you'd WHIZZ right thru building this. LOL Nona, I bet you could find something neat to do with Bill's mugs! That would be a wonderful project for your garden. hugs, Karen...See MoreMug or cup & saucer?
Comments (17)I'm another coffee drinker, but if I'm ill, I crave tea. That might be because my Mom always gave me tea and toast when I was sick, as a child. I drink both from a mug, but it has to be glass or ceramic, no plastic or....shudder, Styrofoam. when I was a young married wife we had a neighbor who was from England. She would invite me over for tea, and it was so delightful because she always made a production of the preparations, such as, hot the pot, right temperature of the water and measuring out the loose tea. Then of course there was the tea cozy, sort of a quilt for the teapot to keep it hot. She served small sandwiches or tiny sweets, and of course the tea was served in a beautiful cup and saucer. What a sweet memory that is....See MoreDo you have a favorite coffee mug?
Comments (15)I drink about a half cup of coffee in the morning. My favorite cup is a smallish mug that is black inside and out. The outside has an apple, lemon, blueberries and cherries printed on the black background. If I drink anything hot later in the day, it will be tea in my frog mug that says "ribit" when the cup is lifted up and light strikes the bottom of it. Drives dh nuts! My daughter has a Cow mug that moos when light strikes the bottom. She has taken that mug to work to put it to good use. She is the supervisor on her floor at the hospital. The meds for the floor are supplied by a specialized cart that uses the acronym C O W. I have no Idea what that stands for, but when the C O W needs attention, daughter calls the hospital pharmacy and holds the cow mug to the phone and lets it "moo" for assistance....See MoreMiele Coffee Machine Owners - What brand coffee do you use?
Comments (25)Thanks homepro - I'll give them a shot. The prices seem reasonable. I like the Waialua coffee grown here on Oahu, just don't buy much Kona these days as all the stores (including Walmart) are overrun with tiny 6 to 8 oz. bags of 100% Kona, or a million flavored Kona blends, for the tourists. There are a couple of blends labeled as made for well known local restaurants which are OK - but they are 10% Kona only. Most the blends are only 10%. I want to use real beans and get real flavor! Sharon - just what I need, another gadget! LOL! Maybe I'll try when I'm retired. Too busy to start another hobby right now! Terri, this one could be promising. It could probably arrive from WA within a couple of days. Maybe the pachamama mentioned by arbenson too. I want to try a few over a period of a couple of months to try some new roasts. Then I can set up a standing order with the ones we like best....See Morenicole___
