Most rubber trees are grown in low light/bright light, I believe. They dont need any direct sun to flourish. Like most house plants, morning sun is tolerated well. I have known house plants (rubber trees) to tolerate dark corners and drought. My sister has a brown thumb. But she has had a rubber tree and a lemon-lime dracaena for a long time. She keeps her shades drawn for at least half the daylight hours, and waters occasionally. Im sure it could survive living with vampires. I know you could keep it alive. Yes, catnip. It looks different because it's been growing strong(and potent)outside in the elements. That's why your cat likes it...the essential oils are stronger. Your purchased plant will eventually have the same look and smell.

It probably is Sambucus. Another 'mystery' plant came up on the side of my house recently. As it grew, the leaves became narrower, just like a plant I've known for ages - rabbit's tobacco. The leaves on this plant will undoubtedly become narrower as it grows. Sherry

Wow. That’s quite a list. If anything you seem to be early rather than late. Do you have a heated propagator or are these being sown indoors? My first lot of broad beans have been in a few weeks. But I’ve only just sown lettuce and brassicas today. It’ll be May before I do French beans, courgettes or tomatoes. I won’t even attempt aubergines but then I don’t have a green house. One thing you do not mention, which is one of the easiest vegetables for us here, is runner beans. Don’t waste your money on a water meter. They’re inaccurate. You'll do far better sticking your finger in the soil. Or just learn to gauge by eye and pot weight how your plants are feeling. Good luck with all the babies, human and plant.
