Pressure treated fire blocking?

I'm laying out my perimeter walls (with 1" of XPS behind against concrete block) and would like to fire block the top of the assembly by simply sliding in a 2x8 against the mudsil and screw into the joists. This will also help form a doubled top plate and give a good plumb reference when I hang the studs.

Since the blocking will potentially touch the top of the concrete wall, do I need to use pressure treated 2x8s?
