Need help with height of console table!

I am looking for a console table but I have a couch with a rolled lip that extends out several inches. Should my console table fit under the lip or is it okay to have it a few inches under the total height of the couch? The lip is 28.5 inches and I have been having a very rough time finding a console table that is only 28 inches tall.

I have to ask: Do you need a console table? I have one because the approach to the back of my leather sofa isn't particularly pretty, but yours is. It's a shame to lose such a lovely profile.

Yes I am trying to stay away from the greens. I have had various tones of greens for the last 20 years lol. I finally got away from them when I repainted my house in BM Grant beige. I really like the country gray as well. Just wasn't sure if I would be keeping things dull or not. I guess the whole room will flow.. Thanks for your suggestions.

Mine is like that. I think it looks fine, but I don't find it comfortable to prop my feet up on. My long legged hubby and children (all teens and young adults and all taller than me, but I'm not short) seem to not have a problem with it, but every time I try to prop my feet up I feel very uncomfortable after about a minute. It hurts my knees, feels like they want to hyperextend backwards when I try to prop my feet up on it. Not an issue if you don't use your coffee table in that manner...

It’s great that you like color. You have a really nice space. I think you know your style and what you would like to see in the room. When you say all you want to keep is the red pot/vase - maybe that is all the console needs. Your view out the window looks like it’s very nice. And the red vase is striking by itself, so with just that piece, your view would also be a clearer focal point. I love the horse piece, and am thinking maybe that piece should take center stage in another spot.

I wouldn't try and find one to fit under the roll, ignore it and buy a regular console table a few inches shorter than the total height of the couch.

Okay i'm thinking I will do that. Just wasn't sure if it would look too funny.

Try checking wayfair.com. I noticed you can actually limit results to a specific height, and when I selected below 28", it brought up quite a few options. Here's one that's 27.5" h. Console table at wayfair

I haven't purchased furniture from wayfair.com, but did buy lighting that was high quality.
